Bill Medley had the best "BA-BY" wail in the history of pop music. The 'R Bros' set ya up. Bobby Hatfield speech>"...you're the reason for my laffin and cryin ; for livin and for dyin" and then Bill Medley cuts loose with the "BA-BY" and you been grabbed, "I can't make it without you"

The Righteous Brothers came to popularity when I was about 7 or 8 years old, so I've known of them and listened to their songs for pretty much my whole life. But it's taken experiencing them through other people's eyes and ears to remind me of just how incredible they were. Two completely different voices that nevertheless went together like yin and yang, complementing each other "perfectly".

When I was a teen in the 1960s these songs and my family role models led to to want a woman to love, cherish and bear my children. I found that love I so wanted and my life has been blessed for almost 50 years. So many great tunes, artists and soulful loving focused on that one special person.

I like most of there music! Thank you for playing it. Can I ask if you could do "Let It Be Me " by the Ice Man, Jerry Butler and Betty Everett! I am sure you will like it. That's right! This was their Follow Up to "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" that was produced by Phil Spector the First Superstar Record Producer of The Rock Era. This was done "After" they cut ties to Phil Spector. Before there were Music Videos let alone MTV if you were a Po Star in the 1960's you did Shows like this called Hullaballoo which was one of many of that time. Each week they had a different "Host". They aren't Brothers but they got their start performing in Naval Bases in San Francisco, CA and the Audience that consisted of predominately Black Sailors would clap and say "That's Righteous Brothers" and the name stuck. The Term Blue Eyed Soul was coined in Philly by a DJ. You should check out the Singers from there. Daryl Hall & John Oates, Karen Young, Len Barry. Also The UK, Scotland and Ireland have some amazing Blue Eyed Soul Singers as well. If you want I can recommend some to you.

Lost my wife nearly six years ago, at age 39, after nearly 19 years of marriage. (done in by a doctor, if you can imagine... and she was 14 years younger than I) It has become CRYSTAL-CLEAR to me that such a relationship has become IMPOSSIBLE in the current climate. TOTAL and ABSOLUTE trust. At least I got to experience that.

@Man Bites Dog: Amazing how many things had to "go wrong" in my life to bring me to her. Now I regret not a single one of them. I would say: School and the workplace are two of the best places to meet the good ones (I met Heather at work)... but even those have become minefields today. But it can still happen. The advantage to such environments is that you can observe them over time... BEFORE you make your move : )

Glad you enjoyed it. They weren't brothers but they were such good friends for many years. Before they became famous they were performing in another venue and apparently killed the song they were singing. Someone yelled out "THAT WAS RIGHTEOUS". They became The Righteous Brothers. In those days music was romantic and respected women. They didn't need any machine to help them sing as they do now. It was nothing but talent.💝🐦
