@@valakivalakifalvai137 yeah, same. im glad rock raiders is being kept alive through manic miners but i miss the old modding days when we were all discovering new things about the original game. and before we all realized how toxic that community had become

closest RR texture set I have to the arid planet surface. I guess one more volcanic like in the books or looking like Mars like in the FMVs would be more accurate but oh well.

@@Ringtail I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that the texture and the way the surface is done just remind me of one of the planets from old Star Wars games like Rogue Squadron or even Shadows of the Empire. The shot at 3:21 reminds me of something like the Gall Spaceport level or the Tatooine level in Shadows of the Empire. Man I feel old talking about N64 era games and only in my 20's...

@@RujiTheRockBoi yeah he makes most of the music he uses in his videos and has several albums for his retrospective series. his rock raiders music is great, and some of his time cruisers and orient expedition music is even modeled after the music from those themes' old audiobooks and web animations

That's what this was initially yeah! I sent this to a few people for feedback, which ended up being mixed, and then kept reworking the idea until it sorta fizzled out. I'd still like to make something like that, either for rock raiders or manic miners. I still have a vague story idea that I wanna at least do something with.
