I wonder if its possible to swap the 1.1 voice files with those from version 1.0. Also, there was an uncut version of the bad ending which was never used in the final version, as the developers thought it was morbid for a game targeted towards kids. A higher quality version of the longer version was recently found, and one could put in the transition effect used in the released bad ending on top of the beta bad ending.

This game was so fun. The ambient cave noises really made it, and the narrators rough voice.

It took me till this very moment after obsessing over this game as a kid to realize that the asteroid from the opening cinematic BROKE OVER THEIR SHIPS SHEILD! I’m spent my whole life thinking it exploded just by shear luck.

I was way too stupid to figure this game out as a kid, but every time I stayed at my cousin's house every weekend for several months, I would watch him play this game lol. It's incredible

I’m really curious, what emulation did you use to run it? It sounds like you can get old school windows emulators on a pc, is this true?

I know nostalgia has a tight grip on me, but I think gaming back then was so much more fun and diverse. Nobody was worried about top titles, we played all kinds of games.

SLIGHTLY off topic but I genuinely think LEGO Island 2 is deserving of a remake/reimagining. The game is so poorly aged and held together by duct tape but such an ambitious game and had a lot of content they ended up scrapping last minute that it makes you wonder what could have been.

The reason its opening the Edge browser is because the old Windows help system WinHelp from the Windows 3.x and 9x-era of software isn't supported natively since Windows Vista. Microsoft removed native support for security reasons as a way to discourage developers from using the obsolete format in favor of newer formats. Microsoft would released a downloadable viewer for WinHelp files for Windows Vista until it's last version for Windows 8.1, as with the release of Windows 10 and forward, Microsoft removed support for the obsolete format completely. Fortunately, OTVDM has a alternative viewer that is compatible with the old WinHelp files, and even runs on 64-bit Windows systems.

I wonder if one could make a hacked BIN/CUE of the PS1 version that combines both the levels of PAL & NTSC versions into one big campaign (with PAL being the first half and NTSC being the second half), and maybe even implement the unused levels as well.

Lego Island Source Engine Missing Textures Edition

I'm no computer graphics professional and I'm sure somebody could figure out the issue causing these weird graphical corruptions, but to me this looks like Ramp Emulation mode might be incorrectly processing LEGO Island's 3D shaders (given each shader has a different corruption, yet materials that use the same shader share similar corruptions: - Flat-shaded surfaces become magenta tinted, with different shades depending on the colour - Smooth-shaded non-textured surfaces become magenta with white artefacts - Textured surfaces are very inconsistent, but minifig textures seem to more consistently appear as magenta with black artefacts, where-as world/building textures have less consistent visual/colour corruptions). Makes me wonder what Ramp Emulation mode actually does.

Wait, so this game had two different versions for Playstation? Bizarre... which one do you think is worse, this one, or the US one?
