It never ceases to amaze me that men who are completely disinterested in parenting while married become incensed by the idea of not having custody/access to their kids.

THIS. My ex never changed a diaper, would disappear for days, and just showed very little interest. After I left, he'd not show up for visitation, wouldn't pay support, and would disappear for months. But when I went to court for full custody, he played the victim and said I was alienating him, and he just wanted time with his kids. After court, he did the exact same things he did before court. I truly believe it's a narcissistic sociopathic trait.

There’s a couple of good cases. We are the police helped with the spouse in danger of being murdered set up a sting operation. Those are some cool cases. But if someone walked up to me and asked me to help them murder their spouse, I think I would immediately begin designing a way to murder them, and then walk away.

This season has been incredibly hard to watch (but I know it’s incredibly important): as someone who suffered spousal abuse at the hands of a literal psychopath, I remind myself how close I was to becoming a murder victim. And how “it was a joke” until it wasn’t. I feel badly for their children. Even though they had loving grandparents to care for them and stabilize their lives, they lost both of their parents and it didn’t need to happen.

It’s insane how normalized joking about violence against women is, especially among men. So many people thought he was joking about killing his wife. Not once did they consider that he was serious? Just vile Edit: the amount of people responding to this trying to use my comment as a soapbox to say “not all men,” “stop generalizing,” or “you’re sexist and ignorant” is a little concerning. If your knee jerk reaction is to respond “but women do x also” to something as basic as what i commented then I think you need to take a breath and maybe watch this video again

Humans tend to want to be able to have freedom. How is he not suffering? Ah, we won't have to pay taxes. Well, what about other people who probably shouldn't be in prison for possession of Marijuana?Thousands more of them we waste money on... Do you think that we save money killing people? That even costs more than just letting them rot. They will go through multiple appeals, which is more of a drain on society that sitting in prison. The scary thing is, so many narcissists are great at hiding who they really are until they marry or have children with their victims. They can also spot an empathic person from a mile away. My aunt (who is the kindest woman I know) married someone just like this cretin. It was like a switch had flipped once they married. She stayed with him for so long just waiting for him to go back to the person he was before they married. The only time she got that person back was when she would try to leave. The last straw was him punching her in the face and breaking her nose in front of their 3 year old son. They moved in with my mother and I until he eventually got the hint it was over and moved out. A covert narcissist is in my opinion the most psychologically damaging out of any of them.
