Hi Robyn. You mentioned going light to dark with your layering but it feels like you went the other way in this demo? Or more like opaque to transparent?
@RobynMcClendon
@RobynMcClendon 2 жыл бұрын
Both really. ✨ This is a more in depth color theory question. So yes the Turquoise was indeed opaque compared to the quinacridone which was translucent. So that was "light to dark" from a color standpoint but "dark to light" from a transparency (How much light passes through) standpoint. ...In this example I couldn't have put the quinacridone down first because the opaque turquoise would have covered it. However I could have put down a thicker layer of quinacridone and then a thin layer of the turquoise. and that would have been "dark to light" from a color standpoint but still "Light to dark" from a transparency standpoint. The white went down on top of the "dark" quinacridone but it was used as a "glaze" because I knew wanted to be able to see the color underneath.

Hi Donna! When you say incorporate more journaling into your journals...could you elaborate?
@donnadownum2279
@donnadownum2279 2 жыл бұрын
@@RobynMcClendon I want to make journals as gifts that grandchildren can use for journaling their thoughts and experiences. I know that sometimes you add pockets or journaling cards and I really love that. I am learning so many beautiful techniques from your classes. I would love for my journals to be invitations for the recipient to continue the process rather than feel they are finished by me. I guess not just the art process but journaling their own lives and even adding photos.
