Oh..I have not watched the video yet but I was so happy to see it here! People in our area (Wisconsin) paint rocks ..and probably in a lot of other areas too ...and they leave them in the park along the walking paths for people to pick up. I think that's so cool.

That's a fun thing around Texas too. My grands love finding them and adding to their collection. We do have a rule to live by. If you find one and want to keep it, you must replace it with one you've painted. That way the fun is continued.

Life does seem to get in the way of fun sometimes. Delighted you pushed life aside for a little table time. Thank you for the fun! She is totally perfect! A couple months ago I went through a background phase. I was painting backgrounds on anything my hand found. Yesterday I realized I was surrounded with oodles of backgrounds. Now I have lots of playgrounds when bad weather comes.

I love her!!!! My grandaughter will love her also...I will share the video. I also love the sound of cicadas. I find them very soothing. I think we are going to have them in a few weeks. Yay!!!!

If you were to keep this outside - What would you use as preservative? Love this. I’ve painted quite a number small stones to leave on pathways for people to take home - but LOVE this large one!

I am going to use a water base clear coat...like a polyurethane....that will keep these little beauties safe in the elements...and granite...it was a whole new experience playing on a large rock! go create, go play, go have fun!!

Question will you seal this up and keep it outside? If so what will you use to seal it with to keep it safe outside?

i sealed the rocks with a water based varnish....it will not last for ever...and i am okay with that!!! go create, go play, go have fun!
