It feels so good to own this Rolex. It strangely feels so personal, you’d hardly come across somebody else wearing it.

I also got one recently, the last of the 39mm. I can't take it off. Its a very simple watch, but with bags of charm. I think it leans more to the dresser side of sporty. Great watch.

Great review. At 44, I have done the same, 40mm is the sweet spot at my 8.75" wrist. Unfortunately, that's my min. This Explorer I prefer over the Polar. It is right up there just behind the Submariner...stealthy, versatile, timeless, timepiece for the price.

39 looks good on you. Under 7” it’s a platter, like the air king, likely why one was disc and the other somewhat available. Quality is outstanding, as is the longevity.

strange, as I get older I like the 39-41 mm cases more than the bigger 43-46 mm I did in the past! love this watch!

Nice review of the 39 explorer. All you might need is a GS 9F quartz for accuracy finishing and value. The best one quartz watch. Please focus the watch before moving your hand. Stay safe and healthy.

6 1/4 wrists here. The new 36 Explorer is my next buy. Very glad it came back.

I have the 39mm also it's a fantastic piece. But I'm hoping to get the 36mm too.

This is my one watch for the last 2 years , I don’t want to own another watch

It was an almost perfect watch at 39mm and retail. The current price is simply ridiculous for a 3 hand stainless mass produced machine finished watch!!! So I've moved on from Rolex to other brands

I have a new oyster 126000 The only difference between the oyster and the explorer is the dial. The 3, 6 and nine digit. To me it looks like the explorer owner paid about one thousand dollars more than the oyster.

Comparing the explorer with the oyster. At the AD. the explorer is around one thousand dollars more then The oyster. A thousand is a lot to pay for the three, six and nine digit on the dial. Other than that I see no difference. I'll stick with my oyster 3230 36mm. At a distance you cannot tell them apart. I can't see what the big deal is with the explorer 1.

This one is unfortunately way too big.if I were you,I would definitely consider buying the 36 mm.
