@@frankfarrington1388 Quality renders at 66.6% of output resolution. Balanced 58%, performance 50% and Ultra performance 33%. Its the same for FSR2 but not FSR1, since it has an ultra quality mode with is 77%

I managed to get the same FPS on my laptop! Considering it's a laptop RTX 3060 with 6GB of VRAM and half the power at 80 to 90 watts it was quite impressive to me. I know overdrive is meant for the 40 series cards like 4080 or the 4090, especially with FG available but dam. Had some problems with the core game though, like the slowdown and lag at the start screen and then some stutters which i never had before this update or the hotfix...I imagine it broke something i was using before (probably a mod) but overall I'd say this was an interesting update to play around with. Great video as always, got me addicted to benchmarks with your entertaining ways and vendetta against Bob 🤣🤣🤣

This was only possible a few years ago with CPU rendering, which took ages to render a single frame; now we can see it in real time; it's still impressive that a low-mid range gpu can even run it.

I would've liked seeing the game on medium with PT, maybe you could've had a more playable framerate at better quality unless the RT cores being limited limit the rest of the gpu as well

Hi Kryzzp! So I had an idea that you've done a few times before, but I think it would be cool for you to turn it into an official series. A head to head value/performance series where you compare similarly priced cards on the used and new markets and give your thoughts on which one is better for which group of people. My suggestion for the first entry in the series would be the RTX 2060 vs the RX 6600. They're both priced around $170 on the used market (at least in America, not sure about other countries :/) and I think it'd be really interesting :)

You can play this game with OD at +30FPS if you do OC and use DLSS Quality (or Balanced)

To get consistent 40+ fps you need to utilize optimized settings with optimization mod for this Overdrive. DLSS Performance is not bad, at least it's usable and way better than the first DLSS 1.0. In this demanding area I never dropped than 40 fps. And 40 fps literally smoother. You can shoot well in 40 fps than 30 fps. This city model looks great with this type of lighting too.

are you kidding me? dlss performance at 1080p looks horrible, is only 960x540. specially during daylight, things will feel like there's no AA when moving the camera. I've tried it myself, i have a 3080 and the only way to maintain 60+ fps is using dlss performance at 1080p. couldnt deal with that so i went back to the o.g ray tracing (which looks good enough in this game) and i used the new DLAA. Game looks better and cleaner than using path tracing on such low resolution and i have 60fps.

Cyberpunk is sponsored by nVidia, it uses an ancient 2.1 version of FSR, so it does not have the updates for the ghosting. It has the latest DLSS but 3 version behind in FSR (2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.2.0, 2.2.0a are newer (but the 2.2.0a is irrelevant))

@@speedforce8970 i am not assuming, this is fact, you can check it. Cp is sponsored and even nvidia helped coding it. What you implied is that nvidia is preventing fsr adoption. But that is not how it works. Nvidia goves them the help for implementation that is why dlss is new and amd doesnt so they dont bother with it. I did not imply any wrong doing.

Part of the problem is that he's using ultra settings. He should really be using Hardware Unboxed's optimized settings to squeeze a little bit more performance.

Tried RT overdrive on my 3060 12GB too, installed performance mod to lower it to 2 bounce 1 ray, and turned on DLSS balance, it can hold 30 fps in most area, but not all of the time. It does look pretty when I am just walking around and/or driving, can't imagine playing through entire game with 30fps locked though.

Kryzzp, when I am playing left for dead 2. The game is crashing at 3.5 GB Ram. I have 4 gb installed. But it should crash at 3.9 Gb or near that. Need some advice on this from you.

Just a couple of points Kryzzp, this is not DLSS3. It is using DLSS 2 on 30 series cards and has a DLSS3 plugin for 40 series cards. DLSS3 is locked to 40 series cards, not just the Frame Generation Component (which is the only addition of DLSS3 used in this game) Also, DLSS performance at 1080p is 540p, its 50% rez scale.

After overdrive update "cyberpunk 2077 encountered an error caused by corrupted or missing scripts file and will now be forced to close" with on or off mod steam Verify integrity of game cache It does not help, another solution?
