Wow, way to go Frank! These are three of probably the most iconic live clips of the guys available anywhere. Nick, you and Lex should consider checking out the Rush documentary "Rush in Rio: The Boys in Brazil" about that trip in the early 2000s. I know it's a long time for Lex to sit but perhaps you could break it into 3 or 4 parts (about an hour long altogether). **Also keep watching to the end as there's a cameo appearance from a very special guest at 37:00!

They are just brilliant. What a great way to ease into the weekend. A glass of single malt in one hand, headphones on and Rush on the screen. And a surprise visit from Alexia as well!! I have the Rush in Rio DVD, and I've seen the Greatest Intro Ever lots of times on YT, but I had never seen the Working Man in Cleveland video before. Absolutely awesome, and testimony to what made Rush so great, their love and respect for the fans of Cleveland (who put them on the map really) and their ability to work new ideas into their songs. No other band makes me feel the way Rush makes me feel, I saw them once only, in Manchester 2007, but am so grateful for having that experience. Thanks Nick and Frank.

That "Working Man" selection was their final song (encore) on their "Time Machine" tour, a virtual 3 hour set of their greatest hits. That they ended what was an already A+ performance with this song was just incredible, one of the better concerts that I've seen in my lifetime.

I always love your Rush videos Nick. Rush have always said that Cleveland Ohio was their home away from home. But I was kind of bummed when they kept bypassing us on that Time Machine Tour. But then at the end of the tour they announced the show here in Cleveland and that they were filming it for a live DVD. I never missed seeing Rush, but this show was really special. They were awesome as usual.

Really loved the RUSH marathon! I’ve been waiting to see y’all react to some live RUSH!! I know that’s a long time for Lex to sit, but I would have loved to see her reaction to these live versions!! (Thanks Frank)!! Especially when they switch it up and make it different! Someone’s already told you the songs from the Best Intro, which is such a creative way to get a bit of 6 different songs they wouldn’t have time to do in a regular show! Working Man was an encore… 50 year old masters pulling that off at the end of a 3 hour show is just amazing! I hope Lex can watch and enjoy these one at a time so it doesn’t hurt her too much! I don’t remember her saying she’d seen them live… but give it up for dad to have taken her to such a great live show!! WAY TO GO , DAD!! I can’t wait to see her play us this version of Working Man!! LOL! What a jam!! I hope she enjoys these as much as we did! Stay well, Nick and have Lex let us know what she thought of these performances!! Y’all take care of each other… Be well and God bless… from Texas!!

🎶 begin the day with a friendly .... face 🎶😄 and some Rush on a Saturday morning. YYZ is for sure in my alltime TOP10 of live songs I have on DVD. I bought the DVD back in 2003, right after its release. Starting to watch, I got the chills, when they opened the concert with Tom Sawyer and was completely blown away watching DVD. I love watching concerts in middle and southern america, with the people singing along, but this singing of an instrumental track is unique. And see the crowd dance and celebrate gives me an idea, what happens, when Brazil won / is gonna win (Dec. 18 ? who knows) the soccer world cup. Nick, you will be surprised hearing, that this was Rush's first tour to Brazil ever..... all this written after 1 song ... let's continue. The version of Working men is simply awesome .... and has ever anybody in the channel commented on Geddy's technique? I don't know any other bassplayer, who plays the bass like him ... I like it veeery much 🤘 ..... and that Cleveland rocks was a song in 1979, by Ian Hunter formerly of Mott the Hoople, probably composed to honour the Cleveland audience .. .seems like they've always been one of the best crowds .. And the medley ... WOW ... I'm not sure having seen it before PS: you have to "work" on Marley's musical taste - Rush is no music for hugging and kissing, it needs your full attention 😂😂

Another amazing live performance is when they performed "Spirit of Radio" live in Toronto in 2003 in front of 500,000 fans on a sunny August afternoon. They start the song with a short instrumental version of "Paint It Black" by the Rolling Stones which then segues into "Spirit of Radio". It's one of the greatest live performances I've ever seen.

Way off topic, but during your reaction Nick, you mentioned Iron Maiden. Please check out "The Garden" by RUSH. It is the last song on the last album. At the time, we did not know it would be their farewell. The song is bittersweet. Realization of the end of a journey, but thankful the journey took place. It is a musical poem about the garden of life. I recommend the live version, during their "Clockwork Angels" tour.

The medley from the R30 tour is musical snippets of one song from every album up to the song “The Spirit Of Radio “ which they play in full at the end. The snippets in the medley are: Finding My Way from their first album. Anthem from Fly By Night their second album. Bastille Day from Caress Of Steel their third album A Passage To Bangkok from 2112, their fourth album Cygnus X-1 Book One from their fifth album A Farewell To Kings Cygnus X-1 Book 2 from their sixth album Hemispheres. The Spirit of Radio In it’s entirety from their seventh album Permanent Waves. It was an awesome tour. I saw the "Greatest Intro Ever" at Red Rocks on their R30 tour, and it was just an epic surprise opener! The audience was going wild! It set the tone and let everyone know we were in for a special night. I have this DVD and was "shocked", when one guy said, he even quit his job, only to see Maiden once in his life. Hard to imagine for us cold blooded Europeans. I mean, I've done a lot to go to concerts, see special bands, but quit my job ? I don't think so ... as much as music plays a big role in my life (a day without music is a lost day), you need a job to make money and have security in life, latest when you have a family.

Best Intro Ever . . . Finding My Way Anthem Bastille Day Passage to Bangkok Cygnus X-1 Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres Spirit of Radio The Marley of Terror (Part V of Fear) Lexi (The Visitor) Nick & Lexi, I hope you have watched your copy of "Rush in Rio" (from one of your Rush Familia members), and the documentary with it; "The Boys In Brazil" which will explain a lot about the band had never played Brazil before, and all the cool stuff in-between each city they play, and the INSANE sizes of the stadiums! (Rush, the FIFA of bands! :P) The Brazilians know how to treat a band, and even the Women! I guess they are more open to all types of music. The crowd "singing along" to an _Instrumental_ (like a soccer/futball chant) was one of the most coolest things I had ever seen when I bought the DVD. One day you'll have to checkout with Lexi; "La Villa Strangiato" from Rush in Rio. There is a bit of _Comedy_ with that version, which is hilarious (I think the audience is singing along to that one too!), and a _certain someone_ did an "improv version" of it in almost every city they went to :D. What can I add that other Rusheads have already talked about? They are still my fave band (along with *Kansas* because both bands resonate with me lyrically and musically) and have influenced and inspired soo many bands I admire. If anyone is interested in my personal journey with Rush: mavearworx.weebly.com/blog/witnessing-the-birth-of-progressive-metal-part-1-of-2 And something I was BLESSED to have witnessed . . . mavearworx.weebly.com/blog/finding-my-way-rush-and-the-hollywood-walk-of-fame-revisited Marley is such a sweetheart, he wants Daddy's attention :D And the visit from Lexi was icing on the cake, she's gonna LOVE watching the videos! - Thank you Franck! Sadly since Neal Peart's passing , Rush is no more. There is a Netflix documentary about the band called "Rush beyond the lighted stage" (ya should check it out ). In this documentary Geddy Lee says and I quote...."There is no Rush , without those other two guys."

Hey Nick. I don't know what year you were talking about regarding seeing Journey/Rush/Heart, but I know I saw Heart open for Journey at a double-bill show in 2009. So if it was that year, it was likely Heart and Journey together and Rush at a separate show.

You're right rush was separate. Journey and heart were together!

Probably has my FAVE version of La Villa, because of the "accidental" Harmonic pinches from Alex Lifeson (before subpart "V: Monsters!") at 5:50 of the track. I thought that was such a d@mn cool addition to its sound. And the Ged "lyrics" :D. And the GORGEOUS little piece by Alex; "Broon's Bane" before Trees! Which they never played again :(.

I’m not sure even if Yes achieves the same level of live perfection as Rush did with Xanadu. The whole ESL album was perfect, Xanadu just best showed the fidelity to the studio version. And they made it look so easy!
