Intel planed to make a more efficient CPU but changed their minds at choosed to pull 300W+ just to not lose to 7950X at stock... that's already a loss.

@@12pure I mean yeah the 13700k does beat 7950x too but 13900k doesn't pull 310 watts stock lol it has a max tdp of 253 watts idk where you get information maybe overclocked running on unlimited power it does under synthetic benchmarks but it uses the same power for gaming 13700k gets like 20 fps more than 7950x it had 5fps using ddr4 Ryzen using ddr5

It obvious that ryzen will be faster a cpu, is from 2022, the i9 from 2018, just look at the specifications of each of them, i9 is 8-16 and the ryzen 16-32 (cores) and other stuff like cache and etc, more cores at rendering, editing is everything because it use all cpu power you got, not like games that are using 20% + of the cpu. It's not fair for that i9...XD. For being so old is still a very potent and capable cpu, and a beast his own way.

Yeah, I was upgrading from the i9 to the ryzen. So the question was not IF it would be faster, but HOW MUCH faster the new one was.

this is just nonsense.... why compare cpu's light years away from each other?! what's the point?... i have a 7950x and i have an old i7 4470 - is there even any drop of good sense comparing these two?.. it's like comparing a PS5 with a Xbox 360.... it's like comparing oranges with bananas....

It's my old workstation vs my new one. The point is to see how much faster the new one is for my curiosity, but also if somebody else with a similar CPU to my old one is thinking of upgrading, hopefully it helps them see what the upgrade would be like

@@PrinceofEnemies-ow2zm right? it's just that there is no logic on the comparison.... for example, you can compare things that cost basically the same but have different performances - in this case of cpu comparison. What is the logic of comparing a citroen to a ferrari? how can you justify that a supercar is extremely faster than a utilitary vehicle if in the end one costs a gazillion times more than the other.... it's just nonsense
