When Carlos Sainz Jr came into F1 I was like yeh!! Just kinda still really sad that Colin McRae and his son Johnny died in that tragic helicopter accident in 2007. Always makes me think what if the McRae were still with us? Would Johnny have got into motorsport like his father uncle and grandad? And would he had gone into F1 or rallying? McRae Jr Vs Sainz Jr we'll never know. Least we have the memories of McRae Sr Vs Sainz Sr, and I really want to see Sainz Jr do well in F1, make his dad proud, like I imagine he is already
@chrishyde1216 Жыл бұрын
I think you mean Jimmy McRae and his son Colin, and it was Colin that died in the helicopter crash.
@SteveDentonClassics Жыл бұрын
No, I do mean Colin McRae's son Johnny McRae! As Carlo Sainz Jr is around the same age as Johnny would have been if he wasn't killed aged 6 in the unfortunate helicopter accident with his father Colin. With Carlo Sainz Jr now in F1 it's a sad thought that we will never know what Johnny McRae would have done in his adult life. Would he of followed his father Colin, his grandfather Jimmy, and his uncle Alister into rallying? Or would he have gone into F1 like the rally legend Carlos Sainz Sr son, Carlos Sainz Jr did. Or would he not have got involved with motorsport at all. Questions we will never know, but it's a nice thought to have that if the accident didn't happen Johnny McRae against Carlos Sainz Jr rivalry in F1, much like there fathers Colin McRae and Carlos Sainz Sr had in rallying

After proving Renault and Red Bull wrong and solidifying himself as one of the best drivers of his generations, Carlos Sainz Jr. retires from F1 at the age of 34 after following in the steps of his childhood legend, Fernando Alonso, succeeding in the sport's biggest and most legendary teams. Carlos will now follow in the steps of his father, who has now retired from motorsport period, and will take up rallying and will try to embrace the legend of the Sainz family.
