Yes I love transparency. The culture of the job market has shifted in the last couple of years. The employers are no longer in authority positions, the employees have taken on a lot of the power. Talent is harder than ever to come by and the sooner employers realize that the better. Understanding what you're worth definitely helps level the conversation for the employee and the employer.

@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 2 жыл бұрын
The only reasonable sample size of data we have internally at Talent Stacker is for consultancies that specialize in assisting nonprofits. We see very similar numbers right around $70k for entry-level roles. In my consulting experience non-profit clients actually represented some of the most profitable projects. As far as internal hiring at non-profits I would assume we see lower than average numbers due to alignment of passion and work so a willingness to accept less by the employee. That's just an assumption though, not based on any evidence.

I strongly suggest starting with the free 5 day Salesforce challenge at www.talentstacker.com/salesforce even if you want to be a developer starting with the Admin Certification is key. As for salaries devs start around $60-$80k and quickly ramp up to over $100k in just 2 years. The main carry over right now will be JavaScript and there is a SF JavaScript certification you can take as well. I hope that helps!

Salesforce has Health Cloud certification specifically, and I have heard of people with medical background/familiarity transferring their skills to this focus. You should still get Salesforce Admin cert first regardless but then you can specialise. Many hospital systems use this platform and if you want to stay in a medical background to transition and feel more confident with background knowledge you can go that route.

Can you go more into talent stacker stats? What % of the people who complete the program land jobs?
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 2 жыл бұрын
This video has a lot of our stats from last year. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/a9-cf5tpm9S5doE.html We don't keep the exact stats on each member because life isn't as simple as I joined and failed/succeeded. There is far more gray area and middle ground. Bottom line, you have lifetime access, you are not a graduate until you land a job. We also work closely with our alumni and make sure they have a successful career not just a job offer and no direction after that. As far as life happening imagine some scenarios: - Use our program strategy and realize you can land a higher paying job in your own industry with our guidance. (You didn't graduate as far as I'm concerned but you're on hold) - You decide you'd rather wait until later to give in because life happens, you have health issues, a death in the family etc... There are endless scenarios like this. At the end of the day we are always helping you and guiding you we are here for you when you need support. This is a tried and true process and you will succeed if you put the time and consistency again. I believe the last time we ran the numbers we were at right around 80 to 85% success within 6 months for our members who were actively working towards landing a job.

It does, but the job landscape is certainly different. Salaries may not be as high and requirements for experience may be a bit different, but there have to be entry level positions available in order for people to gain experience to move to jobs that require more experience, so they definitely exist. Some countries may have far fewer jobs available just depending on the industries there, so it might be a bit harder to find a remote job that can hire you outside the boarders of their home country, but it's not impossible.

Zero experience with Salesforce doesn't mean zero experience! With 20years of steady work experience you're going to be bringing a TON of soft skills to the table. Learning the technical skills is just part of the equation. You'll be able to offer a lot of other skills and talents. Look at Salesforce Business Analyst as an option once you get the Admin cert. A quick social commentary. The 'prepped' candidate that you are describing in this video, DOES have the best chance of getting their first Salesforce job. But in reality, they shouldn't get the job at all. They will... but they SHOULD'NT. In a perfect world, where people actually value scholarship, competence and character over shameless self-promotion, manufactured life experience, and well-spoken sales speak (interview-prep), the candidates that present themselves in the way that you are suggesting would go straight to the bottom of the pile every time. Being a good Salesperson, shouldn't be more important than being a good candidate. It's a shame that that's not the case.
