Hi,I found your videos very helpful and well done.Thank you for your efforts and time.I have tried this new compound on an interior wood veneer panels but I was not very impressed to be fair.There were some scratches left after cutting.I think I need wet sanding with 2000 and 3000p first and after that this cutting compound.How do you do wood veneer panels polishing by the way?Thank you.

Try washing the pad in bucket with norinse wash+ watter or dish cleaner + watter. Stick pad to the polisher and spin in bucket on max speed 2-5 seconds. Pad will be little bit wet. Do this after each section. No dust and you can run whole car with one pad still clean and cold. You dont need penetrate pad with compound. 👍 Or buy pad washer bucket like LakeCountry 4000 and u dont need unstick pad for washing and save velcro.

Nice test ;) carefull with the tolecut sanding paper, it doesnt like to be touched with your skin and can reduce the quality of sanding ;-) its good stuff by the way

have seen slight traces of sanding but I think that with a sanding at p1200 it would come back much faster and with a better finish

Nobody will grind with 800 and then polish, everyone who works works with 1500 and 2000 and for that granulation this compound is excellent

I’m kinda on board with a previous comment. I like your vids, but I gotta see this one in person to believe it. There’s just not enough factory paint for all that I don’t think.
@Amddetailing9 ай бұрын
this is the factory paint on this mercedes
@barryjohnson1279 ай бұрын
You're right I've had 45 yrs painting experience this is extremely hard not to go through the lacquer not impossible but will happen regularly.
@themetalfusionologist9 ай бұрын
I wasn’t paying attention to the point to notice or not, but was it noted in the video this wasn’t a “factory” paint job? I ask because that could be misleading to someone who isn’t knowledgeable in this area. There’s a big difference between factory paint and what looks to be 2/3 coats of base and 4/5 coats of clear. Your vids are very informative to myself and others for some things we may not know and use your techniques. Saying this product is so “great” And not giving the full story of what’s it’s used on can easily end up causing someone else huge problems. Especially if their working on a customers car

So when did you polish through the lacquer, and move the video to another section 😂not enough factory lacquer on to do this without burning through to the basecoat!?specially the way your polishing. Car painter 45yrs.good so i know.must be witchcraft your using because this doesn't work out in the real world.
@Amddetailing9 ай бұрын
it's not a different section, it's a different corner, the door is the same (moved because of the shadow from the hand because it wouldn't be seen) and the easiest way to check it yourself is to buy a small bottle and try it and don't talk nonsense, because nothing is hidden or set up on my channel, it's the way it is
@barryjohnson1279 ай бұрын
@Amddetailing well I've used most paint that's been around, and certainly don't talk nonsense! You said it yourself you moved to polishing another section, this technique looks good, but definitely don't work in the real working environment. When there are only microns of factory lacquer on the top no way even with the fine grades of paper your using and then cutting back the finish will you not go through the lacquer to the basecoat prove me wrong send me a sample and ill try it out!! With your paint. Best of luck with that 👍.
