- This is the first day with my new drone, hopefully the quality is a little better. Definitely no gimbal shake like on the previous drone.

Great job. Thanks so much for the update. The live cam blocks out a lot and then is on a program that skips around and never stops at the location of activity.

So are they removing the powerhouse and tainter gate section of old dam ? Seems like they are blowing a ton of money on this project. The oil leak is a nice touch.

I think they’re keeping the original power house, but I’m not certain.

Great video quality, but not a word spoken or captioned in the video about the Where, What, or the Why the dam is in being worked on. Not a fan of the music, way loud and without much reason. Work is ongoing with the Sanford Dam, located on the Tittabawassee River approximately 11 miles upstream of Midland, Michigan. The Sanford Dam was built to provide water level control for the purpose of hydro-electric power generation and received its original license from FERC in 1987. On May 19, 2020, the Sanford Dam failed due to heavy rains, which caused the upstream Edenville Dam to fail. The Sanford Dam was topped shortly after, causing the Eastern side of the dam to collapse, resulting in the evacuation of the towns of Edenville and Sanford. Sanford Lake is expected to return before Memorial Day 2026.

Honestly didn’t expect the viewers to be beyond the scope of folks that were affected by the flood and rebuild. I fly drones as a hobby, not really a “vlogger” or making documentaries. Now the music I will admit is typically trash in my videos. Hard finding royalty free music to use for free!

You got your Facts wrong. Stand ford dam held up a long time Had a lot bore Clay and rocks in its core then Egan ville

Sanford, Michigan! -- had a series of dam failures back in 2020. We are in the process of rebuilding.
