Marketed as 'legal steroids' by many; SARMs seem like a harmless muscle-building shortcut perfect for beginners and teenagers, however, if you look closer this is probably not the case...

Correction: Some of the 'SARMs' discussed while marketed under the "SARM" umbrella are not technically SARMs but other research chemicals used for the same/ similar purposes.
The purpose of this video is to outline why most of the people SARMs are marketed to (young male beginners to the gym) should probably be more cautious...

Sadly many don’t want to make it to 80. They have the belief that you are crippled and have a terrible sorry life quality in older age. People underestimate how gracefully you can age if you take care of yourself. Ironically it’s the ones abusing their bodies today that will be having all kinds of crippling trouble in the future.

They have tons of young impressionable fans who would follow anything they say so if they admit to it, they would be influencing these young fans to take them. Even if they say please don't take them as I do, that would be hypocritical of them. I can see both sides, it's a tough situation

The sad part of this is that earning gains through discipline and hard work becomes an avenue that helps you in every walk of life. Those lessons I learned denying myself cheap pleasures, sticking to a routine, pushing myself: they have all helped when it comes to working hard, studying, not drinking too much, time management, stress management, long-term financial planning. All of these skills were developed through and alongside working hard in the gym and sticking to a balanced diet. SARMS and the appetite for a quick fix will never develop that.

If you'd been smart and run NAC and other PCT/OCT during your cycle you wouldn't have had that issue. You using them incorrectly isn't the SARM's fault. Edit: Also, based on that side-effect profile, they probably weren't SARMs at all. Probably pro-hormones marketed as SARMs by a sh*t/shady company. Less your fault than the above, but still partly your own fault.

We definitely live in the microwave era where a lot of us seem to want instant gratification. It's ashame because as an older adult, I realized that the lesson most times is in the journey and not necessarily reaching the destination.
@MakeLifeExtraordinary
@MakeLifeExtraordinary Жыл бұрын
I keep thinking that those who grew up with high speed Internet are those most likely to be and fall susceptible to instant gratification. as opposed to those who grew into it from the days of slow dial up. It started with downloading music, and once someone could download a song in a couple seconds, then it was video, where eventually you could do the same. Instant messaging and so forth. So it’s no wonder that people are so impatient these days. Because if something isn’t instant, they throw a fit. Thinking the entire world operates like the Internet. It’s really concerning, because so many people seemingly never slow down enough to smell the roses. This also may be a big reason why there is so much anxiety and depression, not to mention misdiagnosed ADD or ADHD. Something that existed back in the 80s and 90s, but in a much lesser way, and for whatever reason skyrocketed in the 2000s. Making me believe that the two are connected. Not to mention all of the garbage chemicals they are putting in food these days. Barely any nutrition at all, replaced by chemicals that are proven to damage cells in our body. Every other country in the world has banned these chemicals from being put in their food… With the USA being one of the few that hasn’t. Seemingly, it seems like this is only going to get worse unless something happens to make people take a hard look at how they are currently existing and living through their devices, as opposed to taking in the world around them and loving thy neighbor. We can only hope that change happens sooner than later.

True. I'm 29, I went through a stage in life where I wanted everything overnight. I was pushing white ❄️ and doing other things. After I was arrested, I started from nothing but the first thing I did was to build a new foundation within myself. I remember gaining alot of fat that made my muscles hide away 😂. Instead of crying about it, I figured it was a perfect opportunity to appear as if I went from fat to swole even though I had 7 yrs of gains on me under the fat. Normal people who don't lift don't understand that the muscles never disappear which is how transformation videos seem insane. Most of them are lying about the time frame and the time they've been training. Only a experienced lifter could tell I had gains. The point is that because people see these things they fall for the overnight trap as I did. Good sleep+ strenght+conditioning+muscle and I became a different person even my face changed drastically. I went into logistics and created a stable wealth the cops cannot take from me. No overnight dreams but to be fair I did in 2 years what I couldn't in 10 before. Focus can push you up fast while not focusing on that at all.

It’s so easy to just not use it. I got on sarms at 17 to 21. I experienced amazing gains, and felt incredible. I think the only side effect was start of gyno during a rad 140 and yk11 cycle. I stopped this cycle immediately and started a pct. I felt like an absolute god during the cycles and hated coming off. I did 8 weeks on 8 weeks off. After realizing these compounds were dangerous I stopped and haven’t touched them since. This is where the biggest issues came in. I was obsessed with the gym and loved it while I was on it. Now the gym is a chore. I have completely plateaued due to being close to my natural potential. I still workout 6 days a week and probably every 3 days the devil on my shoulder tells me to do another cycle. Develop a natural love of the gym and keep it sustainable. No matter what you read sarms are not sustainable long term!

Anyone thinking a legal drug can help them catch up to their buddies or look ripped faster, it’s just common sense to a kid to try. This is straight up almost exploitation of undeveloped brains, the likes of in-game gambling mechanisms in kid’s videogames- and vapes. Like really hooking kids into “legal” ways to get them stuck on something terrible for them, and they don’t have the knowledge or impulse control to know better.

They shouldn't be advertised on social media, but they should be legal. If they are not people will just be less transparent about their use and that is when people get hurt. Also they prevent people from going on more serious anabolics. Right now steroids are very much legal, even anabolics, but only for the rich. The rich can go doctor shopping until they find one who will prescribe them what they want. I think that's unfair to the general public.

Yoo skinny 45lb bar starting package, same here, 6'2 could barely press the bar, and weight 170 skinny fat. I tried everything naturally, with diff workouts and eating a lot. I got up to 200lbs in my mid 20s by constantly eating but my strength sucked cause I was working out way to much. I'm 33 now, 205 without counting food or protein, I work out upper body 2x a week, one hard day, and a second medium day, and legs I lift one day, and plyo another day, I can standing very dunk at 205, I never thought I could bench 225, but I can for 3 reps lol. I know it ain't crazy, but I'm stoked. I think working out less helped my gains, and writing down my reps and sets.

Wise moral choice. I see these high school kids at my local gym and their little group all blew up and are massive in a very short period. Now I see this video and read your comment , it confirms my assumption that they were taking the cheap and fake way to a nice looking physique. As a former wrestler and gym rat. Ecdysterone is a good way to put on muscle naturally too! No known side effects, naturally found in spinach. If you overdose you'll feel hot and dizzy for about an hour but that's about it from my experience. Doesn't negatively affect your HPTA axis and is even beneficial for your liver and cholesterol. Some natural drugs are almost side effect free and are highly effective, so that saying of a drug not having side effects being ineffective isn't always the case. Although there is no confirmed answer on the effectiveness of ecdysterone, many people report legit results, myself included. The strength gains for me were faster and better than using testosterone, the fat loss even better than testosterone.. The muscle gains? Not as good as testosterone but still it's a very effective supplement and boosts your mood and concentration a bit too. No androgenic effects either which can either be positive or negative depending on your goals. Muscle gains are faster than not using it. Motivation is slightly increased too. There needs to be more research done on it to see how it exactly works and if there are any long-term side effects of high doses of ecdysterone, which I'm nearly certain there could be but I doubt it's anything lethal or permanently life damaging. It does bind on to estrogen receptors in skeletal muscles while not increasing or releasing estrogen, it's an interesting mechanism of action. It supposedly boosts protein synthesis up to 60%. It's highly effective in insects and rats, meaning it's more likely than not to work on humans.

Hey man here's a tip from a dude that's almost 40. Your teenage years are the closest you will ever get to being naturally on steroids. You don't need enhancement, you can train as hard you fucking want and recover like it was nothing. Just keep your stuff on track and you'll get results. Worry about "enhancement" when you hit the brick wall at 35

Little anecdote from my side: When i was 17 i had a friend who loved going to gym like me, but he started taking steroids and hgh, he blew me away in any discipline and was super sad because i looked faaar worse then him. 4 years later i worked out consistent all natural, look very buff, more buff than him at his juicing times, while he got fat, has hair loss at 21 and his joints are destroyed to a point of no return, he couldnt walk for like a year because the where so inflamated Stay natural, its a far more rewarding way of living and has litterly no downsides

What happened to him is not the fault of steroids, but the lack of knowledge about diet and training that's why it's so important not to take anything until you learn the basics. Your story should get many eyes open because 99% of people end up like this. Influencers are an exception because most of them have a trainer who already has knowledge, they only do what the trainer tells them and average teenager doesn't have the money for a coach.

What so many people don't understand is that your body is a huge and delicate network of processes all linking to each other and all depending on each other to work. If you drastically alter one of these processes artificially then it will have knock on effects into other areas. It's impossible to have a change without side effects. The whole point of working out naturally is that you push yourself within the limit that your body can manage naturally. Anything more and it's not you. It's the drug using your body as a vessel.

Thank you for the video, Josh. I have a question I hope you can answer, or at least point me in the right direction for who to ask. I am a 60 year old man, still fit and active, my wife and I work out regularly during the week, and stair climb on weekends. The issue for me is that even though I am doing the same thing I have been for years, staying active and trying different workouts to at least maintain my fitness, I am noticing that I'm getting softer around the middle and I don't have the same energy for my workouts. My wife started estrogen replacement last year, and at the beginning of this year, she asked if I wanted to look into HRT. I did some research on the options, with the two most popular being TRT or GH replacement. I came to the conclusion I did NOT want to be injecting myself every week, and then have to continue using one of these methods pretty much for ever. During my research, I saw information on SARMS as well as Peptides. One surprise for me was that insulin, the drug used every day for diabetics, is a Peptide that was discovered through this research. So it seems not every Peptide is going to fall into the "dangerous" category. But I also found another substance called MK-677. Several knowledgeable individuals (former and current steroid users) have claimed MK-677 is NOT a Peptide (or a SARM), but it is usually listed together with Peptides. This is a pill you take daily, and it is said to increase your body's production of Growth Hormone. So, you are not injecting GH, you are getting your body to produce GH on its own. Sorry, wasn't planning on such a long message. So, two questions, if you don't mind; Have heard of MK-677 in your research, and what have you heard / learned about it if you have? If not, do you know who a reputable person would be to contact to get the real information about the substance? Thank you , again, Josh.

We all now it's 100% possible. These kids don't loke training, they like the attention that comes with looking more muscular. Besides it's 100% impossible to keep up with an enhanced athlete as a natural, so if you want more, the only way is juice. It's not healthy in the long run for sure, but if you put in place the right strategies it won't kill you anyfaster than any other form of hedonism. As always to each their own, I will always understand the will to be a lifelong natural, fuck me my training partner is natural and he almost keeps up with me when I'm on cruise, the guy is a fucking machine and you bet I tell him everyday. No stims or pwo too. i’ve taken them before yea i looked kinda crazy but right when i got off them i stoped going to the gym cus the motivation wasn’t there and lost eveything i gained and had some sides, not too bad but still sides that effected me. 3/4 years later with 1 year of going to the gym i would say i caught up and mabye even more to where i was back then but naturally this time. it does feel way better

I have a weight gaining problem but for 15 years I resisted juicing, I gained the weight in the end naturally and by just trying and trying and doing the work to know my body..brothers don't poison yourself, learn your body and then apply..it's a double win in the end for mind and body
