Unfortunately our Matco dealer retired today. Proud to say out of 5 tool buying employees at our shop he left there without anyone owing a dime. Bad thing is there is not a dealer lined up to take over the route. Had these in a 1/4 in set for about a year now. Love them. Go to set. Can be hard sometimes to release off the bolt head. But they are worth there weight in gold. Pulled many rounded drain plugs off with these

I have the quarter inch drive, deep and shallow sets of these sockets and i can say they absolutely are an essential for rounded or especially rusted fastener heads. They work better than turbo sockets IMO. If you live in the rust belt, buy these sockets. I see what your saying about using only these, instead of having several sets, how ever i used my set as my primary 1/4 inch set, and the splines, especially on the sockets you use the most, wear pretty quickly. I know i warrantied the 8 and 10 mill at least twice in 4 or 5 years cause the splines physically wear down. Especially if you use them on the impact

As some one who owns all 6 set of these for years and the best bogo is the 3/8 free 1/4 set they do both the deep and shorts, the 1/2 deep some times are on bogo with the 1/2 shorts. You're wrong if you're only gonna buy one socket to try get a 1/4 shallow 8mm. Its the perfect e10 socket for doing oil pans.

I've had my sets for about 3 weeks when they had the shallow 3/8ths(10-19) and 1/4in(5-15) sets in one of my flyers where you buy the 3/8ths and get the 1/4 for free and they work good i haven't tried them on anything but a 6 point fastener but they seem to be pretty solid.

I know we have been discussing these. Had a job 07 f150 steering shaft , lower bolt 10mm head tried reg socket then fdx 10mm nothing. Saw matco got 1/4 set met, & 3 sae sets all that he had .ended up with 3/8 socket in 3/8 drive set it on the fastener, mind you it set in place no tapping on,so not super tight fit , gave it a try & got it..very tight spot ,not many options..super pumped with these so will probably add more sets..1 good job in rust city, saved me potential hours. One more bad spot & these are paid off to me..Thanks Buddy!!

Bought them on BOGO. 3/8 & 1/4 deep then bought the shallow 3/8 & 1/4 on BOGO again. I’m waiting for the 1/2 BOGO if that’s what Matco does next. They’re easily becoming my favorite set of sockets. PS I didn’t believe in them at first either lol I originally bought them to use as E-Torx sockets.
