the fact that we are getting yearly saw movies in 2023 is wild. what a timeline

Saw XI needs to follow Saw X and set before Saw III. These prequals have added so much possibilities to favorite characters returning and filling in gaps between movies. They need to eventually followup on Saw 3D.

since i only started watching saw this year im so happy to be able to be hyped for a new saw film!

I hope it isn't too Fan Service Focused.Saw X sucseeded because it told it's own story and didn't rely on it's predecessors for it's appeal. For sure, have references to the past films, but I hope it also tells it's own story.

I am so impressed with how quickly you guys managed to get this video together! It’ll be interesting to see how the film will go given how Hoffman is such a divisive character within the fan community. I, too, would also watch a film about Hoffman sitting in a corner doing nothing 😛 I’m soooo ready for a Hoffman character study, a deep dive into the fall of Amanda, and some much needed interactions between them and John!

I saw the announcement the moment it happened! Their Instagram was counting down to it and I was so hyped I just knew it was about to happen !! Though it happened the moment I decided to go bed so I could no longer sleep haha. Super excited!! And it’s only 9 months away! I hope we get a Hoffman/John heavy film! And yes! Finally have more scenes with the trio, we need more Amanda and Hoffman interracting. And then the rumoured saw 12 continues from Saw 7 and we see my man hoffman get out of the bathroom! Ugh I love this franchise so much. I’m looking forward to all the cast and plot announcements over the next few months! I’m so happy and over the moon!

I feel like it will 100% be the bridge between what they did with X and everything else before. It would probably show a bit of what else Hoffman was up to during X, and what Amanda and John come home to after. Its going to make it all flow as a single franchise I feel like, which then can provide that room for 12, where it does take place after 7, but its those events from between 1-3 that will set the foreground for that.

After many years, seeing X is nostalgic af. I grew up with these movies (along with Final Destination films) and it didn't lose its charm. I do hope it's gonna be as good!

One of the first things I thought of was when Costas said that there are two things that he has yet to do in the Saw movies that he wants to do, get his revenge on Dr. Gordon, and kiss Shawnee Smith. He might be able to knock those two out in this movie, or at least one and XII will be the former.

As happy as I'd be with the Saw writers that know the franchise, I'd also be happy with new blood writers provided they follow character-first writing. A complicated mythology can be managed and fresh eyes on the franchise can take us somewhere interesting for future movies. I wouldn't want to rush into big changes in the mythology, like fast forwarding 30 years and incorporating brand new characters, but at some point in the future I'd be excited to see what a huge pivot could present. But no time soon. Give me half a dozen more movies with Kramer, Amanda, Hoffman, Gordon and others.

Love you guys! Your guys videos always make me wanna have a saw marathon again and never fail to entertain me James wan/ Leigh whannell have to return to keep the reinvented old formula and to be successful like saw x. The saw x mid-credit scene gave me saw 1 nostalgic. Them returning and the mid credit scene being the opening scene would be perfect. I think saw 11 could center around Hoffman and him being crooked, I believe officer rigg, detective kerry, detective strahm, detective perez, and detective matthews could return as they’re still trying to catch jigsaw. We also could see how detective matthews framed Amanda and got her arrested and Hoffman may have possibly got her case thrown away knowing how he like to get his hands dirty. Anything can happen at this point, I’m so excited for saw 11!

I'd love to see David Hackle come back. I liked his work on Saw V. I wasn't a fan of Kevins work on 6 & 7. Kind of weak in my opinion but I guess that would be more of the writer's, not so much the director. 1-5 are my favorites

Saying as we never saw Henry's game play out, surely the movie will open up with the conclusion of the Saw X mid credit scene? Also, the story with Cecilia is surely to be wrapped up. She won't have walked off into the sunset.

The issue is how rushed/fast they did the previous films when they were making them every year, I hope they don't do that again with the 11th one, what they did with Saw X was amazing, it had a good story, pacing, some damn life to it, along with the traps and gore we all love, I just hope this next one is good, a 2024 release honestly worries me, if you think about it, 9 months isn't much time.

I will be happy with Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton returning as writers ON THE CONDITION that the movie has a runtime longer than 90 minutes to give equal time between character development and traps. SAW 4,5,6,7,8 lost some of the charm that the 1,2,3,10 had because certain plot lines and characters were rushed to meet the runtime.

Here’s what I would love… Kerry coming back relentless looking for Jigsaw on the heels of Hoffman and contacts strom and Perez while hoffman and Amanda are butting heads and we also kinda understand what John originally wrote to Amanda I also wouldn’t mind Jill making a cameo

Tbh I could see them pivoting to a Gordon film for this one. Would be good marketing with the 20th anniversary next year and perhaps Leigh could write it? Gordon vs Cecilia would certainly be very interesting

I love the downfall of Amanda idea. Waivered in saw x, so time for another game for her since he wanted so badly for her to take over, with Hoffman as a secondary main character. Also, not a lot on doctor Gordon since his game.

It’s funny you two said the writers of Saws 4-7 “created” Hoffman. Yes, they created his overal arc. But… actually Hoffman debuted in Saw 3, so actually it was Leigh Whannell that added him as a character. Bah, who am I kidding, it doesn’t matter. I do suspect that such a quick annoucement means they’re looking to finish up their plans with John Kramer while Tobin is still kicking. But yeah, if we’re getting an old writer back and it’s for a film centered on Hoffman, then it should be one of the writers of Saws 4-7 at least. Things are looking up for this series. P. S. I have been guessing Saw 11 would be “Cecilia vs Hoffman,” which results because she goes after John and Amanda for revenge, only to find out the hard way that Amanda wasn’t John’s only associate.

I'm cravingggg a true "Hello Zepp" moment. Spiral's didn't hit, Jigsaw's flat out made no sense as cool as it could have been otherwise (plus it also copied off the idea's of a better film), and we haven't truly had a proper one aside from that since Saw II.

I said it before and I'll say it again, there's no Saw without John Kramer! In my point of view, Hoffmann is just ok and Amanda is pretty interesting, but John is the backbone of these movies!

Saw X does a job of showing why John is such a dickhead & a troll in Saw 2 and Saw 3. By then he had fully embraced his jigsaw indentity & there wasn't much John left. Its going to be interesting seeing Amanda fall & Hoffman treachery.

The majority of the new Saw films were thought about years ago. Now did they completely change course over time or are we getting what they had planned many years ago. I assume it's a little bit of both. Since 'Spiral' sucked and bombed on every level and has nothing to do with the Saw franchise I believe that's why we got the Saw X storyline but I don't think it was something that came out of nowhere as for many years they were just trying anyway possible to throw Tobin Bell in the films...The big problem with the coming films is budget as the Saw films always have a smaller budget and bringing people back like Cary Elwes, Donnie Whalberg, etc is hard to basically give them 25% of the budget. It's a sin they allowed 'Spiral' the biggest budget because of Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson along with the biggest failure in the franchise as it's the only 'Saw film (only by them calling it a Saw film)' to completely bomb and lose money. All the other Saw movies made very good profits regardless of critics, reviews, scores, story, etc...But back to the main topic I do believe they will at least reference integral characters in the franchise which was definitely a let down in Saw X as no one was mentioned. I hope they brutally kill off Pedersen quickly as she deserves it and she brings nothing else to the table other than adding another bad new character into the universe. Minimal screen time for her and get her out of the way. Agreed, just let Amanda go back and kill her opening scene. They need to just stick to what they had been doing was keeping the Saw team in place and promoting within. They wrongfully took a different path with Jigsaw then Spiral. Like I say in every comment Dunston and Melton as they have also been succesful with their own films outside of Saw, I honestly wouldn't mind if David Hackl returned even though everyone hates Saw 5. No to Bousman he crapped out Spiral. He's the only reason why I went to see Spiral. Very dissapointed. If he was not involved with Spiral I would've actually chosen him over Greutert for Saw X. Great news that Stolberg and Goldfinger is gone!!!! I forgot the source but it was mentioned a while ago they were most likely cutting ties with those writers and Thank God it was true! I also write my comments as your video is playing lol. I also agree the next Saw film will probably not do as well as Saw X as it's not really fair because Saw X came out at a perfect time bringing back the original universe that ended in 2010 but I do think it will have a lot of success possibly after theater releases and word of mouth if they don't do anything dumb like bringing in random writers and directors and other new characters but focus on the characters that are well established...I am surprised that you guys are surprised by the Saw news as it's been pretty clear at least 2 more Saw films are coming...they wouldn't wait a while because they are going to try and capitalize on Saw X and also this goes back to the original films as one Saw film every year.

No, nothing is your question should be who is the person that responsible for the new movies that is coming out now and I am the one who is responsible for them going back to the basics I wrote to James WAN bought this to go back to the basics before the time of The early times and all that going on, but the truth is I am the one who got them to do SAW 10 and also SAW 11 these are my ideas so you should be thanking me for it. The only thing I know that they are doing and no one is because it should be a dark sequel. Still also taking place in between SAW. 2 And 3 but here’s the thing about the announcement is this that I am the one who gave them the idea of this movie existing they will not have done so otherwise so your question should be is this who is the one who gave the idea who is the one who was responsible for SAW 10 and 11 it is me I am the one that gave them that idea so the only thing I can say about the announcement is this That I do hope that they do bring back not just the older actors, but they should at least bring in new blood.
