Thanks Fedor! I have a question, could you please make a video about different words for "happen" and when to use them? Бывать, происходить, случаться.
@user-wb6lx8ep3t4 жыл бұрын
бывать doesn't mean ~happen~ происходить = случаться = ,было(past) ,будет(future), бывает simple use only происходить
@gunnara.78604 жыл бұрын
I heard бывать in the following context: a guy talked about when he was riding somewhere on bike following a rainfall. The ground was muddy and slippery, hence he lost control and fell. "Но, это бывает! Это грязь, и это нормально," he commented the incident. Another time I saw the following sentence translated into Russian, if I remember correctly: "You never know what will happen." In Russian, it was "Никогда не знаешь, что может случится." Could происходить be used even here?
@SpankyHam4 жыл бұрын
да можно сказать "никогда не знаешь что может произойти". Случится - случай. Произойти - происшествие. Произойти чаще используют в связи с криминальной обстановкой или стихийными бедствиями, а случится - в целом, в общем, применительно к любым событиям.

@@gunnara.7860 1) I thought бывать doesn`t mean happen But I used Google and found этому не бывать = this is not going to happen)) Бывать( бывает,бывают, бываю, буду ,был, будет) usually means visit или I`ve been или to be. I can`t explain Бывает будет было mean happen but it happends = но это бывает, случается ,происходит. 2) Никогда не знаешь что может произойти, что может быть, что может случиться.

стОит or стоИт?))
@user-to8bm8ry7r4 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the stress in the word. Сто́ит means "costs" or "is worth". Examples: "Эта книга сто́ит 300 рублей" - " This book costs 300 rubles" "Ваши усилия этого не сто́ят" - "Your efforts are not worth it" But if the stress is on the second syllable, стои́т or стоя́т, the word means "is standing" or "are standing" Examples: "Моя сестра уже стои́т на остановке" - "My sister is already standing on the bus stop" "Приправы стоят на полке справа от тебя" - "Seasonings stand on the shelf to your right" I hope I helped you a little bit, also sorry for my awkward English :)

It is kind of confirmation of your assumption about something. It can be both a question or statement. Q.: Ведь ты придешь завтра? Ведь это правда? (you assuming it is a truth, but you want confirmation of it from your counterpart). Statement: Я ведь совсем об этом не знала. (I really didn't know it - I confirm that I didn't know that).

Hi Fedor, I'm learning Russian for a few weeks now and found your channel. I really like your videos and I appreciate the work you put in them. But I have one question and I couldn't find a answer to it online (I found 20 different xd): What is the difference between "извините" and "извини"?
@fabiporelmundo4 жыл бұрын
The first it's formal and the other one is less formal (informal). It depends who you are talking with.
@SpankyHam4 жыл бұрын
Извините - если извиняетесь перед несколькими людьми. Plural form. And more polite form too.
@kZvm4 жыл бұрын
If you know a person you can say "извини", but if that is not your friend it's much better to say "извините". It is in the same way as "здравствуй" and "здравствуйте". And sure it can be connected with plural form - "извини / извините" - for a single person and "извините" for several people.
@jolevangelista4 жыл бұрын
@@kZvm this is correct. But just knowing the person is not enough. This should your friend, close relative etc.
