Gist of the Story
The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) is an Indian programme to develop fifth generation fighter aircraft for the Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy which will also include sixth generation niche technologies. The design of the aircraft is carried out by Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), an aircraft design and development agency constituted under Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). It is expected to be produced by a public-private joint venture between the DRDO, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), and an Indian private company. The programme has an aim to start production by 2028. The development cost is estimated to be around ₹15,000 crores.

സ്വന്തമായി ജെറ്റ് engine കൂടെ ഉണ്ടേൽ നമ്മൾ പൊളി ആകും 🔥🔥ബട്ട്‌ AMCA 5th ജനറേഷൻ ടെക്നോളജി ലെ ക്കാളും 6ത് ജനറേഷൻ അല്ലേൽ മുന്നിലോട്ട് ചിന്തിക്കാം എപ്പോളും ഒരു പടി മുന്നിൽ ചിന്തിക്കാം, അതിനുള്ള ശേഷി ഉണ്ട് including സയന്റിസ്റ്.

ഒരു v8 petrol car engine പോലും നമ്മൾക്ക് സ്വന്തം ആയി ഇല്ല. (Jaguar, land rover ഒക്കെ വിദേശി ആണ് അതിന്റെ technology യിൽ ഒന്നും Tata ക്ക് പങ്ക് ഇല്ല.) എന്നീട്ട് ആണോ 5th generation flight jet engine. Technology transfer തന്നെ വേണം അല്ലാണ്ട് പറ്റില്ല😌😌

ഓരോ ജനറേഷനും മാറുമ്പോൾ ടെക്നോളജി അടിമുടി മാറുകയാണ്.. ഈ മേഖലയിൽ ആണെങ്കിൽ ഇന്ത്യ ഒരു ശിശുവും. മികച്ച ഒരു നാലാം തലമുറ വീമാനം സ്രഷ്ടിക്കാൻ പറ്റിയാൽ തന്നെ വലിയ സംഭവം ആയിരിക്കും. റഷ്യ, അമേരിക്ക, ഫ്രാൻസ് ഒക്കെയായി compare ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ഇന്ത്യ ഈ മേഖലയിൽ ഒരുപാട് പിന്നിൽ ആണ്. റഷ്യ പോലും 5ആം തലമുറ യുദ്ധവീമാനം നിർമ്മിക്കാൻ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ നമ്മൾ 6 ആം തലമുറ നോക്കണം എന്നൊക്കെ വെറുതെ യുട്യൂബിൽ പറയാം..

ഒരു ജെറ്റ് എഞ്ചിന്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ ഇന്ത്യ പോകേണ്ട ദൂരം എതാണ്ട് ഉറപ്പായും അപ്രാപ്യമാണ്‌. അതിനു വേണ്ട technology, supply chain ഓരോന്നും അത്ര വിദൂരമാണ്‌. അതിന്‌ ശ്രമിക്കാതെ ചൈന ചെയതത് പോലുള്ള collaborations ആണ്‌ കൂടുതൽ practical solution

@Navaneeth v8,v6 ഒക്കെ വിദേശത്ത് നല്ല മാർക്കറ്റ് ഉണ്ട്. Bmw 7 series v12 twin turbo ആണ് അങ്ങനെ ഒരു പാട് വണ്ടികൾ ഉണ്ട്. ഇവിടെത്തെ luxury വണ്ടികൾ ഒക്കെ devloped രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ സാധരക്കാർക്കും affordable ആണ്. ഇവിടെ നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നത് ഒക്കെ ചെറിയ എൻഞ്ചിൻകൾ ആണ്. പവർ ഉള്ള എഞ്ചിൻ ഒന്നു ഇല്ല. ട്രക്ക്, bus ആയാലും നല്ല വണ്ടി ഇറക്കുന്നത് പുറത്ത് ഉള്ള കമ്പനികൾ ആണ്. Volvo,scania,man, Daimler, Navistar,iveco തുടങ്ങിയവാ ഉദാഹരണങ്ങൾ ആണ്. Technologyകൾ വരാൻ ഇന്ത്യ ഒരുപാട് മുന്നോട്ട് പോകണം.

എന്റെ ആശങ്ക നമ്മുടെ പല fighter ജെറ്റ്കളും കാലഹാരണപെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്.. എന്നാൽ പുതിയ തദേശീയ fighter ജെറ്റുകളെല്ലാം വികസിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നതെ ഉള്ളൂ. ഇവയെല്ലാം ഏതെങ്കിലും മിഷനിൽ കഴിവു തെളിയിക്കേണ്ടിയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എത്രയും പെട്ടെന്ന് ഈ fighter ജെറ്റുകൾ production തുടങ്ങട്ടെ എന്ന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.😊

By the time AMCA comes into production, other countries would've come up with 6th gen fighters. Hence I'm of the opinion that India should focus more on developing a new aircraft as a 5.5 or 6th gen fighter and in doing so develop all technologies indigenously.

Stealth എന്നാൽ radar cross section കുറകുക radar signature കുറകുക എന്നത് മാത്രം അല്ല. ഒരു വിമാനം detect ചെയ്യാൻ പല വഴികൾ കൊണ്ട് കഴിയും . അതിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഒന്ന് മാത്രം ആണ് radar detection. Stealth എന്നൽ ശത്രു Radar il പെടത്തിരികുനതിന് purame oru വിമാനത്തിൻ്റെ detect ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയുന്ന അനേകം emissions കൂടി മറച്ചു വൈയ്കുക എന്നത്ത് ആണ്. ഉദാഹരണത്തിന് വിമാനത്തിൻ്റെ ജെറ്റ് എൻജിൻ ധാരാളം heat radiations അഥവാ infrared radiation പുറത്തു വിടും. infrared search and track pole ulla sensor ഇത് കണ്ടെത്തുകയും infrared homing അഥവാ heat seeking missiles വച്ച് ഈ വിമാനം നശിപ്പിക്കാനും കഴിയും .. heat signature marakan valarea അധികം പരിമിതികൾ ഉണ്ട് അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് F22 polea f35 il heat radiation mask ചെയ്യാൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തതാണ്. F22 il heat radiation mask ചെയ്യാൻ ഉള്ള ഡിസൈൻ ആണ് അതിൻ്റെ എങ്ങിനെ exhaust bhagam വിമാനത്തിൽ നിന്നും പുറകിൽ പ്രകടം ആയി തള്ളി നൽകാത്തത്. പക്ഷേ ഇത് വലിയ ഭലം ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല എന്നു മനസ്സിലാക്കി ആണ് f33 il ഇത് ഒഴിവാക്കിയത്.

Main problem of indian aeronautics industry is there is no competitors like we only have hal but if we see US: Lockheed and Boeing Russia: MiG and sukhoi China:Chengdu and shenyan India can achieve this by privatization like Tata can always be a good competitors for HAL and we can have prototype competition like US,Russia and China and we can select the best eg:JSF project{f22 raptor program} competitors were yf 22[Lockheed] yf 23[Boeing] for better aircrafts we should follow the same policy with foreign aid like from Russia or France{i think France is the best}

His point makes sense the USAF is still going to purchase a large number of upgraded F-15 fighter jets called F-15EX its size and payload is sort of similar to that of Su-30. The US Military has realised that 5th Gen Fighter tech is expensive to manufacture and maintain. There is also a project in the works on the F-16 platform with major redesign. Most likely there will be a mix of smaller numbers of Fifth Gen Fighters and majority 4.5++ Gen Fighters like F-16,F-18,F-15.

I just read somewhere, like RR is planning to help and jointly develop an engine. And also in an interview Baba Kalyani owner of Kalyani Group and Bharat forge stated that his dream was to develop an indigenous jet engine for India and he was so confident that Bharat forge had attained tremendous knowledge in the field of metallurgy that they are now manufacturing critical engine components for leading engine manufacturers around the world. Let's be optimistic. Maybe we could develop our own engine down the road 🤗

Getting an engine of the required thrust is a challenge for India as you have said. Technology sharing is not what most engine manufacturers willingly part with , tied up by design patents, and their own commercial reasons. Unmanned aircraft is another route India has to move ahead. With the current design experience gained , sure that plans are ahead to do both the manned and unmanned design route.

When they launch the prototype of AMCA , it would be more or less a 4.5++ generation fighter . Only after further testing and enhancement it would be a true 5th gen. At least 2032 they will began serial production. Most probably Mk1 might be a stop gap. The realgame might be Mk2 with near 6th gen abilities
