Scones
Ingredients:
- 14.10 oz. self-rising flour (or 0000 flour plus baking powder).
- 3.52 oz. of butter.
- 3.52 oz. of sugar.
- 7.05 fl. oz. of milk cream.
- 1 egg.
Required amount of:
- Salt.
- Vanilla essence.
Preparation:
Make a sandblasting with the flour, sugar, salt and very cold butter, cut into cubes.
Add the beaten egg, the vanilla essence and the cream to the sandblasting.
Lightly mix the liquids and form a smooth dough (no need to knead, just unite).
Stretch the dough until it is 1.18 in. thick. and fold it in half.
Stretch again until achieve a thickness of .78 in. and cut with a circular pasta cutter.
Stow them on a plate, paint them with beaten egg and sprinkle them with sugar.
Cook them for 15 and 20 minutes in a preheated 392 °F oven.
