Easy Peasy homeschool also known as All in One Homeschool is a completely free homeschool curriculum available on the web at www.allinonehomeschool.com This curriculum is can be used with out any registration or sign in, and you can pick and choose to build a very customized curriculum for your child.
This is an online school curriculum in a basic website format that instructs a student each day of the 180 school days. This homeschool curriculum is set up to homeschool a student independently. The homeschool curriculum is perfect for a family looking to jump into homeschooling or needing an online homeschool curriculum. Best thing is that this homeschool curriculum is free and is helped maintained by other homeschool parents.
Practical, Wellness, Economical, and Creative Solutions for Everyday Life
We are now in the tiny house of life with under 800 square feet for 8 of us. Yep a large family in a tiny house. Yes a lot of kids well 6 of them as we homeschool too. I try to use public domain books that are really vintage textbooks. It gives us the feel of Charlotte Mason and Robinson Curriculum into our own feel.
I am a little flair of fun and crazy with 6 kids. We homeschool and try to keep ourselves in budget for life. I am a crazy scrapbooker and am back to digital scrapbooking with the FORVER Panstoria Artisan Software. I am a planner addict too! I am constantly asked how I do it, so here it is. Here is a window into our life, I hope that it either makes you smile or helps you out.

We are new to homeschooling and it's so encouraging (sorry) to hear that other families have kids who like to drag their days out. haha I keep hearing "we are done by noon" and my kids often take longer than a public school day. It's so irritating and discouraging. So when I hear other homeschoolers who have kids that haven't yet learned to just get their work done makes me feel a little better.

Don't give up Trish, maybe when your children are older they will be better able to follow it fully on their own. I think you did a great review on Easy Peasy I agree with all your comments about the program. We use it as a supplement for Language Arts a few times a week, mainly for poetry. My youngest also likes to get on there and do some games. Easy Peasy is such a blessing to anyone, but especially those who want to or need to homeschool their children but just can not afford it. Thanks for the review!

Trish to get to "family school" always always always do it first! We make that happen by eating breakfast together, shoving our plates to one end of the table for one kiddo to put in the sink and then diving in to the together subjects. When those are finished I set a timer for each subject. EVERYONE does math and has a certain amount of time to finish, if they do not then it becomes homework. Then we switch to another subject like English, timer set, when it beeps they are done and leftovers become homework. Homework time is when everyone who finished their work gets to do something fun and the kids with homework have to stay at the table and do school. This does two things..It insures that every subject is at least getting looked at each day and there is a consequence if its not completed. I school till lunch and then go off the clock. Meaning they are still working but Mommy isnt going to answer questions. Going off the clock helps me to stay focused from the breakfast time to lunch time on school because I know I can get other things done after school. So that means no computer, phone time (this one is hard), laundry, dishes, nothing till after school. Then I catch up and get myself ready for the next day when all "my" part of school is finished. :) Hugs Mama. I've been where you are millions of times!

TheVixthemom Thank you for sharing this! I have been wracking my brain on how to get "my" stuff done while trying to implement more independent learning! This is genius! I will agree with you about the no tech time for mama as you wait...that's hard! But setting a timer and forcing yourself to do the things you need to do is just...GENIUS!!! You don't know how much this blessed me to discover! Thank you so much for posting this! Blessings to you and yours!

We are new to homeschooling and using this curriculum after someone recommended it to us. We were seriously starting from zero. No idea where to start, what to do, nothing and this has been a Godsend. But I think like any other mom homeschooling I worry, “is this enough? Am I teaching them what I need to? Are my kids going to end up totally behind if I use this?” Thank you for giving me a little reassurance.

Last March, I stumbled upon this reading guideline KidslearnReading4.blogspot.com My boy and I have been really serious in performing reading lessons since then. These days, my son don`t need my assistance to read textbooks. My boy feels really confident and is doing good in Kindergarten this year.?

My kids are in public school and are doing the distance learning right now through Google classroom and I have the same problem with wasting time on games and other online items. They look busy but they aren't getting their stuff done. If we end up homeschooling next year not going with online program. Not to mention my kids hate the online learning. My daughter told me that she would rather have me be her teacher than be on the computer all day.

In the world of make believe vlogging and perfect homes and children, it's not often that we see a mom that says, "This is my own problem in my house" Thank you for your complete honesty!!! It's nice to know that other moms out there struggle with keeping things on track and trying to be balanced by allowing freedom at the same time. You're super brave for putting this out here. And your review on Easy Peasy is great! I'm giving it a go with one of ours after not using it for apx 4 years, but this is a little one and I have to sit with him while school is going on anyway.

Yes! I felt the same. I can get so discouraged watching these other homeschool vloggers with their organized workboxes and schedules. We're always always off track 😂 I've also found the hard way that anything on the computer is generally a bad idea. It's a rabbit hole and before I know it, I've lost my kids to the screen and it takes forever to bring them back. Really appreciate your honesty. Thank you.

I don't like chatty videos. I get bored and my mind wanders off but I heard every single word you said and thank you so much for this review. I looked at the sample lessons and decided to only start next year when I can donate. I found the lessons stellar and knew we're in with my daughter but we're in South Africa and are currently using one of our own and we just felt it wasn't enough that's when I came across easy peasy, a friend recommended it. The staff she has in there is so advance and I like that very much. My daughter likes a challenge and those games you mention are a problem for you guys will be the reason she looks forward to the lessons so I really can't wait. I just know that in my heart I will never find peace using the material with so much value and hard work that went into it completely for free. I just can't and it's a personal thing so January we start a new academic year, we can first donate then we can freely use the curriculum. God bless you, thank you so much!

Just Sew Trish, Thank you so much for the in depth review of Easy Peasy. I was just lead to their website and I am seriously looking at implementing this curriculum for my 11th grader. I was already excited after listening to Lee's video, reading some of her blogs, and browsing the high-school site.. After your review, I must say that I am even more excited, ecstatic even! I know you only covered lower school, but the detail you gave, showing the actual material/resources that you liked, and your enthusiasm (like you were talking to friends) just validated this selection even the more! Again, thank you!!

I know the feeling-you get a stellar homeschool resource that you LOVE, but your kids for whatever reason, aren't feeling it. SO FRUSTRATING!! I had done easy peasy in the earlier years on and off, and the reason it was more off THAN on was because of the same reason you gave! I WISHED SO BAD I could just sit them on the computer but the second I turned around, they'd be on one of the games for days or just do what they "wanted" and forget the other subjects! GRRR!!! 😤 I have been bouncing around between what I could get for little to no cost and another free homeschool website, but I am slowly coming back to easy peasy at least for science. Maybe Bible as well, since my kids seem to be lacking on personal time with it...😩. Can you tell I am the mom you might of been referencing in your "homeschool burn out" video? LOL! Anyways, thanks so much for the review. I hadn't been aware they changed it in the past few years to make it even more user friendly. Can't wait to add it to our list of resources as well after the New Year! Blessings to you and yours!

I really like the guidelines that easy peasy provides. However, I have to supplement in other ways (like using Khan academy for math especially) because I find the cirriculum to be light to non existent when it comes to instruction and the how to.
@margaretschlieter
@margaretschlieter 6 жыл бұрын
Aside from that, I am not religious, so of course we don't do the bible study, and I do find myself having to supplement with other materials in science due to my personal beliefs. This is not a bash on the cirriculum, but my perspective

This is so true about supplementing. I feel like there is a lot of jumps that the kids are suppose to just know. I finally had to set it aside. in the end it is a great fill in but not a fix for us.
@margaretschlieter
@margaretschlieter 6 жыл бұрын
I agree. I supplement all over the place. I look at the curriculum every 6 weeks or so and look over about 30 days at a time and put together a lesson plan. Khan Academy I have used very religiously for math instruction. I also got a 180 days of Language Arts book that I use and I actually sit with him and do the worksheets so I can teach him. I use her Language Arts stuff as practice, although I either pick or allow my son to pick the books he reads. I use writing prompts to help him work on his writing as well and have a lesson book for writing that has the lessons mapped out. I go over her science and history stuff and tend to pick and choose what I will use of hers, and what I will seek other resources for. I am kind of picky, and prefer not to do an online home school like K-12 or another charter, because I really prefer having the freedom to pick my own stuff and allow my son and I to go at his pace and have more freedom with our schedule, which is why I tend to pull my home school curriculum from all over the place. I really appreciate having the easy peasy to kind of look over and use as a guideline though.
