None of Your business I think L would be the vampire and Light would be the fairy not for lore reasons, but just their personality traits. L is pale, typically in a dark room, and always snacking. I think vampires would think blood is sweet like candy. Light, on the other hand, was the popular, genius, model student. The trope, at least in fantasy terms, fits better with a fairy than a classic vampire. Light is also very arrogant much like the fae were stereotyped as in folklore.
