Just having access to the equipment Brian has gives them all a leg up.

Trey is my favorite Strongman but man he is not very fast haha

Trey seems like a good guy. That said My experience with respectful manners vs people that are looser and more crude is quite similar. Learning manners or certain etiquette growing up may just be masking the devil. Somebody uncouth are just as often great people. Trey does seem a good guy, just a bit sheltered perhaps.

@@youtubefrog2388 to a degree I guess. I’ve never lived in the south nor my folks, and was raised with manners in how we address and treat people. Vernacular and culture does very throughout the country and we tend to attribute certain good mannerisms with good ole southern hospitality, which a like and appreciation. My point is that it’s window dressing. A persons true character is well beyond that. Strongman has good variety of personality types, from different cultural backgrounds, and I find it hard pressed to find many/any that don’t come across as good people.

I wouldn’t say sheltered is the right word, he is shy because he was always picked on as a child, straight from treys mouth on the Shaw strength podcast. Either way that doesn’t have anything to do with him being a very respectful guy.

Strongman is a different type of sport all together. A couple dozen guys make up the majority of the sport despite anyone being allowed to compete in the qualifiers. It’s competitive but it’s not really a sport where you are facing someone or another team. You are doing the same exact thing as someone else so you can form a bond in shared experiences

Brian should have won 5, if not for that slip off the platform. Magnus Ver DID win 5 - Ted Van Der Parre cheated (blatently) on the axe hold for a good 15 seconds. If it had been called out by the ref, which it should have, he would have placed far down the rankings of the event and Magnus would have lifted a 5th. And Thor should be on 3 wins. He was cheated out of 2017 and during one final, in the middle of the keg toss, he stopped for 5 seconds to rile the crowd and grimace at the camera (for some stupid fucking reason) and then carried on, costing him the event win and the overall trophy. But I still think Mariusz could have won 6 or 7 had he wanted it.

@@oceanbanana4341 Erm, the events were swapped for ones that favoured Eddie Hall and heavily disfavoured Thor. It's common knowledge. Stoltman brothers were secretly recorded saying it. And Bryce has since been forced to step down due to Thors lawyers. It ain't rocket science, is it?

@@Brandon-qd2lb Yeah and he was forced to take a year out. Still, he quit early. He could have gone on for more. But he was "dancing with the stars" in Poland on TV, and doing celebrity shit, and opening gyms, and transitioning back into fighting, etc.
