Great job! I did this about ten years ago with a shelter logic with the round top using standard 28 gauge corrugated roofing panels. I didn't make take as much care as you did because i had hoped it would last 3 or 4 years until I could employ a different solution...and it's still standing. Back then I think I paid about 300 dollars for treated wood framing, corrugated metal, screws, concrete etc. You really did a fantastic job.

You did a great job, man. I do projects without a helper, and it's difficult, especially since I'm 69 years old and underweight. I just built a garden fence 16x27 out of trees that I cut down on my property. Likewise, I have a shelter logic tent shed, and the tarp started rotting within 3 months, in the Fl sun. So I want to do what you did, but not sure if I can do it alone.

I really enjoyed this series and I learned so much I really appreciate all the details. I especially like when you showed how to do the garage doors. I'm going to attempt this for my driveway but I'm going to install roll up doors because the turn I have to make it so tight

I'm very impressed with your job. You did a lot of planning. I would not have thought about using 2 colors. It looks great. I've been watching all these videos to strengthen a greenhouse with a plastic cover. I picked up some great ideas but I'll have to replace the cover after a few years or use greenhouse plastic. I will keep your ideas in mind if I build something else. Great job !!!!!!!

Thank you for this very informative video. I just have a 10’ x 10’ enclosure, but I’m 2 1/2 years in and it’s starting to show its age. I keep my lawn tractor, lawn chairs, etc. in there over the winter, so I think I might try this pretty soon. You had lots of great tips and hints and your building really looks great. Great Job! Been considering some similar ideas for my Harbor Freight Portable Garage. We do not have to deal with much snow here in Upstate South Carolina. I also got 3 years out of my cover before UV damage started causing holes. Recovered it using a large tarp because this brand does not offer replacement covers. It's about time to do it again! A hard shell looks like the answer.

Great solution to a problem many of us run into 2-3 yrs down the road. The current cost for the best replacement cover here in Canada is $1,352 or $1,055 USD based on Apr 26 2022 exchange. I think I originally paid $299 Canadian on sale at TSC Stores for the original unit in 2018! This year in particular the costs for anything is crazy, so your video was a timely find! Thanks for sharing such an awesome and more permanent solution!!

I would like to see how you hung the shovels, rakes, etc. on the back wall.👍 By the way, I called shelterlogic when mine tore and they would not warranty the cover, they stated the warranty does not cover wind and weather.

I got the idea to build a camp cabin like this last year and have been getting supplies over time I'm hoping it works out well for us

Very nice work. It should last you a long time. Today at 2022 lumber and metal costs have skyrocketed but it's still a good idea.

I have the smaller version of this. It's now 2022, and prices for everything has gone through the roof! I just put mine up last year on my OGP for my generator and some tools, and some malicious hooligans came by during the winter and cut some of the fabric and took a couple tools, but nothing major thankfully. Gorilla tape to the temporary rescue! The property will eventually be my retirement farm, so this idea works for the long term plan. I will have to keep an eye out for materials that keep the cost down and be creative with finding them. You did an awesome job and I'm impressed enough that I just subscribed! Did it get very hot inside last summer while you were working on it and how did it handle the snow through the winter? Be safe and work safe.

Great series of videos. How did it hold up with the snow? How much do you get per year? I have a small 10x10 that has held for 2 years, but we only get 40-50 inches. The canvas is still intact, but I'm interested in putting something on it, but prices are crazy.

This is amazing I want to do something like this to mine in the future but I need mine to be fireproof which adding the wood makes it not. City is on my case about it here in Massachusetts would it be possible to make a support frame with steel instead of wood

Nice job. How did it handle the snow? What's your biggest load to date? Are your collar ties low enough to resist bending between the tie and length of rafter to the wall plate? The rule is a minimun 1/3 the distance. I just did something similar for a friends 12x20. His old one was crushed by ice. He bought a new one and I added solid end walls, one with door and windows, and a metal roof. The metal strapping solves a lot of problems with this job. He used the new cover and I sandwiched it between the metal and the interior framing. The sides are the cover. In fact I believe my interior framing takes all the weight. Th metal frame essentially floats inside the framing and metal. A free box of viinyl siding did the ends and a couple (9"high) fit on ground up to the bottom stringers, that are adjusted downwards to hold the top of vinyl under the flap bottom. Keeps out the squirrels and raccoons. I'm in Ontario and we get a lot of freeze/ thaw ice build-up. My wood frame is really heavy duty, and framed old-barn style, quite different from yours. Two posts, 2 feet in from bottom and the end walls support two beams from front to back, that take the weight off the center to the outer edge (because there is no wall framing). The result is a workshop with workbench that fits between side wall and posts. Very neat and tidy. Only need storage for lawnmowers and snowblowers. No vehicles. This winter will be the first test. If I had to do another, I'd use some of your good ideas. Thanks. sgn: Bruce

just a quick question, won't the ridges on the roof hold the snow from sliding off? is it possible to run the metal sheeting vertical instead of horizontal

How well does it hold up in the winter with the panels running horizontal? I'm in New Hampshire we get a lot of snow here as well and I was worried about running it that way because I feared the snow wouldn't shed

OK, I have what may be a stupid question . . . Your shed is nice. Why bother buying the Shelter Logic shed? You can do what you did without ever byuying the shed !

This is a joke , wish i had read the reviews and watched videos before this before i bought a tent from them , guess it will only last 2 seasons , pretty annoying.
