My form is so awful. I developed horrible habits from years and years of shooting way too heavy of recurves and longbows. I’ll only shoot 20-25 tops. Preferably 7-11 yards. And that’s with a VXR now. I did get lucky on 2 nice bucks last year, one in Iowa at 15yds and one in Michigan at 10yds. But I have to be really close with my horrible form. All I’d do at one of your TAC events is donate arrows to the woods. But I do still try to shoot a few arrows everyday and have shot nearly everyday for 45 years. Actually going out to shoot now.

One more way to get a few extra yards in your tape is to move your housing closer to the riser (may have to change your peep to match the housing’s new position). Long dovetails look cool but they minimize your max distance.

Awesome seeing you guys at TAC San Antonio! Didn't get to chat with you guys after the shuttle ride, but it was cool to see you there. Can you guys talk about shooting in the wind? I discovered that I'm not very good at that on Saturday.

I love shooting long range, but I tend to shoot most of my shots close because I really cant be bothered to walk to target and back repeatedly when its 180 yards plus to retrieve and repeat (much prefer 40 or 50 to retrieve and shoot), love the idea of pistol range style auto retrieve targets (target comes to me, but need to win lottery to finance the mechanicals !)

Garmin and PCA tapes.... just put the device at 60 yards behind a target in front of the target you're shooting at say 65 yards... e.g. behind a high roller in front of a bag target or similar...

What was your spine? I shoot a 3dhv 400 spine with a 59 pound TRX and 100 grain points for 3d. Tunes just fine. Over here in Germany thats kind of usual. We can’t hunt so all we want to do is hit the target🤘

It is fun to pop off a 100-yard shot, but I bowhunt to get close to the animals. That is why I shoot a 7,000 grain arrow with 260% FOC.

So I can't pull 70lb back with elbow up at all. Been pulling 70lb with elbow even with shoulders since 14yrs old and without strain. I often shoot 100+ arrows in a day and never get sore anywhere except front shoulder. SS34 with 15"-10" 1oz in front 7oz backbar! Takes it to keep pin float up and not 1ft below whr I wanna be. Takes it to balance bow at grip point as well. I shoot it well to 50 starts falling off from there but I typically hit the classic block to 80 yds 98% lol

Nothing wrong with being a democrat. Nothing wrong with being a republican. Both can put country first, both need to understand you cant get everything you want, and sometimes you have to negotiate an outcome for the greater good…. Now no politics or political shots, as there are crazies on both sides. Lets talk archery, hunting, and such. Good luck in San Antonio guys. Hopefully see yall in Big Sky.

Random question... why does MFJJ setup a new bow a couple days before a shoot every time? It would be like buying a brand new set of golf clubs before every tournament... there's no way you can perform your best doing that.

If you had a shop with every single bow/sight/mod u can think of wouldn't u play around? HOWEVER, I do think it's time he puts more time into 1 setup. (Then you'll just see people commenting ridiculous sell-out comments) Damned if u do damned if u don't. And honestly, I think he's just into TAC for hanging with the homies.
@jons7e

@@loganct5 once a year, totally get that, but it sounds like before every hunt, before every tournament, before every shoot…it seems like every shoot he mentions he had no time to setup a bow and sometimes ran into issues... seems counter productive
