He gives me his last chapati, he runs a bath for me, he ensures I am sexually satisfied, he keeps vaginal infections away from me, I believe he’s loyal, he spreads the bed if he’s last to wake up, he encourages me to be fit, he pays me girlfriend allowance, he doesn’t like cooking but he cooks at least twice a week since I said I love his cooking, he calls me severally during the day, he takes me to the gynecologist, he pays for my health insurance p.a., he replenishes shopping every month, he affirms me all the time, he calls to say he loves me so much and we will fight the problems after an argument, he pays for my solo vacation when I need a break, he says thank you all the time even for petty things. HE TAUGHT ME A MONEY MAKING SKILL. He is not very good with getting me flowers since he didn’t grow knowing such things but he got a flowers company that delivers from time to time. What about just a man hating you, doesn't have to be your man. It happened that I am in a group where we act setbooks and during casting it depends on your body size. Apparently I am the 'big' in our group and am weighing 66kg to be precise. And as our producer was talking he made a comment saying....'Liz ndio atafanya hiyo role juu hatuna mumama mwingine..' Then the other male cast members laughed at that "joke" and this broke me. I felt really body shamed and even left the group. It hurts and I don't need justification on how I reacted because some may say that I just overreacted. That's how the acting industry is. Great conversation kama kawaida ❤. I also loved the conversation you had before the actual today's topic - about single Parenting. I was raised by a single Mum and always felt a void in my childhood. My mum had a favourite( my sister) and my brother was a last born and only son. I was Parenting both my siblings from the day my parents separated ( 7yrs). I always felt like I was given/ forced responsibilities and took the "Mother " and caretaker role because my mum had to be the " man" of the house ( provider) I wished my dad could come back home and take over his Role and my mum can be our mum again and I can be a child again. Anyway- that never happened, my relationship with my mum was always complicated. I felt like she saw me as a friend and a big siter to her. I felt like I have raised two children on my own even though I am just 2 years older than my sister and 5 years older than my brother. I love my siblings and I know they love me too- but I miss my childhood very much 😢. While I was raising my siblings up - I forgot to raise myself up in the process. I have been an adult my whole life. I wish I can get that innocence back- I would buy it back if I could. Because I matured very fast - I worked hard, paid my own school fees and went abroad. I have a comfortable life and a good paying job- still it took me alot of therapy sessions to forgive my Parents. My sister is happy and have her own family here abroad. My brother and a great dad and a business man. We took care of my mum ( unfortunately died 2 yrs ago)but no matter how hard I try I cant help myself to be there for our Dad. He lives in total poverty and is an Alcoholic but I dont feel anything for him. I dont hate him but I don't love him either. I just respect what he chose and its clearly not us. PS: sorry for writing a long essay but I just wanted to show how single parenthood can make or ruin childhood's lives ✌️

Today's episode speaks to me. I dated this guy who constantly cheated and he treated me so badly and I stayed because I simply loved him. Luckily I was able yo detach. Being with a man who isn't appreciating you is emotional wrecking. Constantly trying to go harder for them to notice it's too much work.

This episode has been so eye opening to me and I'm glad that with each episode I watch,I somehow become a better person. Last year I dated someone that really hated me, he'd criticize me in front of my friends and in private,was always envious and hated the fact that I didn't grow up in hardship like he did, would ALWAYS give me "the look" whenever I made suggestions and whenever I wanted to spend time with him, he'd leave me and go spend time with other people so I was always left there in so much self loathe. Eventually at the beginning of the year,I decided to leave him even with all the love I had for him. It was the best decision even. He's somehow trying to come back to my life but I swore that I will never again go back to a place where I leveled up from 😊

I think I hate my husband so much,but there are small things he does that keeps me going. Doesnt spend time with you,because he is " too busy"_ He acts like he is doing something so important 24/7 and cannot do the bare minimum of calling or texting once a day. He sees you once a month despite barely calling or texting you that month, yet there you are calling him my man. People make time for what/who they value. 3. Clips your wings_ he finds you having certain goals and dreams, and makes you doubt yourself. He fuels your imposter syndrome. He talks down and downplays your dreams. It is all about him and what he wants. If he is comfortable with avarageness, dare you have dreams. 4.Doesnt care about your feelings_ He doesnt care about what you like or want. He hurts you, often deliberately and doesnt care. He treats you like trash, especially when he knows there is nothing you can do 5. He doesnt defend you from his family's abusive behaviour_ when his mother and sisters pick on you, bully you,e.t.c, he doesnt draw boundaries with them. Sometimes he even joins them in mistreating you 6.He treats you like a donkey_ he expects you to do everything and work from sunrise to sunset without help or rest, whether its a machine or extra help. He wont even lift a finger to help you even in the smallest way. He doesnt want to see you resting. 7. He wants to see you barefoot doing chores and pregnant 24/7_ so you will be too tied down to be financially independent and will struggle supporting the huge number of kids and will therefore most likely stay with him because you " need" him.

This is an eye opener for me and I feel like if I watched this last year I would have made better decisions interms of the man I was investing my time in.I was in a relationship that was the worst but I kept telling myself as long as I love this guy that is enough,he will change for me. I kept feeling like I will never find a guy who will be like him,I was so blind. I didn't even notice how toxic the relationship was until I found the courage to leave.
