Also mountain bikers and rock climbers. I feel like I'm usually about to make some new friends if I run into some strangers at the crag or on the trail. Seriously this is making me wish I were in Canada, strangers just aren't usually that friendly to each other in the SF bay area

Derek, thank you for all your amazing content. You are an inspiration to everyone out there. I appreciate you responding to the email I sent you. I cant wait to get started on my own channel and continue the education of vegan body building. I have only been doing it for a few months but the results are insane! I cant wait to share my message. Again, you have probably had one of the biggest impacts on my life. You gave me a wake up call. I had tunnel vision for so long thinking that meat and dairy is critical to my health but after following you and you journey I see that is just not true. I am excited to see what my future looks like and hopefully I can have the impact on changing lives that you have.

Hey Derek! I'm still vegan strong since 9/1/17 thanks to you and won't go back. My skin is not as dry and seems to have a golden look maybe... not many of my circle of friends are on board with the whole vegan thing, lots of mocking from them lol and I have noticed my body fat has gone done. (Slowly tho, better than any other diet I have tried to get cut). Just some data I've noticed and wanted to share. Thanks again and for the great content!

I just realized that part of why I love your videos is the glorious PNW. I live overseas now, in a double land-locked desert country in Central Asia, but I have been a Seattleite off and on over the years and the the NW scenery is my favorite anywhere (OK, NZ is even better), so your many outdoor adventures add to the appeal of your videos. I can never get enough ocean, forest, mountains, and green!!!!!! Thank you.

I love your channel!! You and Crystal (hope I spelled that correctly) are so inspiring! I have been back and forth on a whole food diet for over a year and more recently have had to stick with it for health reasons (not that I didn't want to eat this way it was just easier because I had no support), I have begun a cardio and beginner calesthenic routine and a lot of that I can say is because of you!! You are a great source of motivation and your motto of just get out there and move really has helped me to do just that! So thank you for being who you are, much love from sunny south Florida!!

Your videos are awesome Derek! Love your 'cardio day' haha, just getting outside and being active is the best way! I really like the vlog style videos. You're attitude is very inspiring. I've found myself just playing around more when working out (handstands and stuff) I used to do them all the time and forgot how fun it is, so thanks for reminding me! I was out mountain biking in Kicking Horse BC last summer, it was awesome, we don't have quite as many spots in Ontario to do the downhill stuff lol. Keep the solid content coming! And also always enjoy the Crystal appearances!!

Love watching your videos buddy. I'm still a 2 month newby vegan but watching your lifestyle and seeing what an amazing person you and your lady are just makes me want to fight hard to keep my vegan life style up. I live in Hollywood Ca. And I went hiking up the Hollywood hills and I was walking alone and I meet up with this guy who was doing the same thing and we just started walking and talking together. This video made me remember that. It's good to know there loving, friendly people out here in the world. Thanks for sharing your awesome life with us all. I know we all have hard times in life and we don't always show it to the world but I can really see you know what your doing in life. Much love to you and your family :)

Hi! I’m newly vegan and LOVE cooking but many of the vegan KZfaq cooking videos feature processed foods. Your vids are the BEST because you focus on whole, plant based, raw foods. I love your smoothie bowls! I make those plus drink 4 pints of fresh squeezed juice a day and have a salad if I have room for it and I’m dropping 2-3 lbs. a week. I’m obsessed with nutrition right now. Thank you SO MUCH for posting all your food videos. I will try more of your recipes when I have time. Please keep them coming!

Absolutely love your videos, been following now for a few weeks, and honestly addicted. Made my transition a little over two months ago and couldn't be happier about anything else. This is the lifestyle I want and I feel like we're quite a like even down to the beerfilled past. Living in Ontario currently so it's nice to follow another Canadian, especially living in Vancouver as that's been my dream since I could remember. Ever go see the Canucks play? So glad I found your channel!!!! I've been heading down a more raw path for several years, but my husband, who has also been vegan for 9 years has been so reluctant to join me because all of the guys we see on mostly raw are too thin. He wants to be ripped and bigger, because he's 6'4" and doesn't want to look like gumby. He actually got excited about raw when I showed him one of your videos, so a big thank you!!!
