Mmm looks tasty, I think I may have to try this soon as my girlfriend loves coq. I have heard there is a Kosher version of this dish, but you have to remove the skin from the coq first :)

Definately trying this at the weekend. I tried you Beef Bourguignon and loved it. Still to try your crepes but after holidaying in Bordeaux last year I know how good they are as there was a street seller selling these nice and fresh.

there must be a reason you didn't saute the onions and mushrooms together to save on the washing up....its it because of moisture? And yes, i do like a bit of coq in my gob from time to time....;)

Titli again you crack me up! The question I do have is what is a bouquet garni, I am an American and I have not ever seen that in any grocery store here. If that is the case and if I want to make this how do I make a makeshift bouquet garni

Before I was vegan this was my favourite dish in the world. I made mine with dry white wine and rosemary thyme some bacon for flavouring plus the rest what you did. One day I will figure out how to make a vegan version. Still I love watching your videos though. :-))

What was the Tea Bag you used in the recipe?
@kplamp9 жыл бұрын
Andi Bliss It was a bouquet garni. You can do it yourself by tying herbs into a cheesecloth or you can use store-bought that comes in a teabag. If you want to know what's in it, google bouquet garni.

Hi Titli. I actually made this tonight with Rabbit & it was devine! Had to cook it longer but great. I guess I could call it Lapin au vin. I didn't miss the coq , and as for the wine, I could chug on a bottle on my own too :D

This looks lovely. When I enjoy a coq like this, I leave a wee bit of the mushroom and onion in the sauce, and whizzy-toy it all together before reducing... It's right nommy.

Another option-brown a few strips of bacon first. Remove them and them brown the chicken in the bacon fat. Crumble the bacon over the chicken before serving. Delicious.

I believe some people are asking you why you would ruin a perfectly good bottle of wine (vin) by dragging a dead chicken (Coq) thru it..!!??!! LOL. Great recipe Titli, thanks. Merci

bonjour mon amie...... My, my, you do like controversy don't you? ( me too...) You will have really rattled a few of the 'anti wine' contingent ( albeit alcohol free hehe) I do enjoy a little coq sans le vin rouge ... I don't like the way it turns purple when it heats up.. I think maybe I would make mine with white wine ..... you do make me giggle..Have a great day.... Thankyou.

***** It's "coq au vin," not "coq au vin rouge" or "coq au vin blanc." It doesn't specify the color, so why not use white wine? Using white wine does give it a different flavor, but it's still delicious. :)

If you lot actually bothered to look properly you would see the wine bottle reads...ALCOHOL FREE WINE! People are so quick to jump to conclusions....haven't you ever heard of the saying "when you assume you make an ass out of you and me"
@dansan9 жыл бұрын
People who watches Titli because they like her totally understood it, but people who are just looking for a reason to open their gobs and throw out all sorts of nonsense, completely missed it! TITLI USED A ALCOHOL FREE BOTTLE OF WINE! For crying out loud! Pay attention! Stop being so arrogant and disrespectful!
