@@PowerToSing So, I came back to this page in part to do this exercise, in part to check out the link you replied, and in part to reply to your reply. Funny thing is, the first thing that jumped out at me was the name. It reminded me of a website I've been sending people to by the same name, one that I just came across last night and that carries an article about Luc Montagnier. Then the logo jumped out at me. Am I onto something? If so, I just gotta say -- you're a legend (but that's true either way, since helping people to sing truly is God's work). I love the logo, too -- I myself am coming up out of the ashes and I don't plan on returning to the pit. I'm studying data science and actually improving at singing. I hope to have some effect on the world, after all. Much love, my man. Peace

These are good exercises !!! But Chuck didn't mentioned some very important things while doing these stuff - proper breathing, relaxed cord closure and low relaxed larynx position. When I first found similar lessons on the KZfaq , I tried so hard, but strained a lot ! These could be harmful for your voice, until you have a good vocal coach by your side , who can show you what are you doing wrong.

I don't know. But they will help balance your voice, bring the larynx down and stop the pulling up of chest voice. The sound you make will be different than before for sure. And it will be healthier for your voice.

Hi Samuel, that's because your larynx is coming up and prevents you from hitting the notes. You must stay very dopy with the dopy scales and very witchy with the neys. Also do them softer...much softer than you are doing right now. See if that helps.

Hey Chuck! You always are so helpful and kind. I wanna ask something. I used to belt my chest up the scale and I support more as the notes go higher. Now that I'm starting to learn Mix coordination, does it require more breath support as my notes go higher too (like when I belted chest)?? or the same for any note?? or even less?? Sorry, my English isn't very good, but I hope you get it. Thanks in advance, Chuck. GBU
@PowerToSing
@PowerToSing 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Ubay...thank you. It doesn't require more air as you sing higher. I think it's ok to maintain good breath support, though. As long as you are not blasting more air as you sing higher. In mix, we don't overdue the support. Just relaxed but consistent air flow to the vocal cords with the assistance of the diaphragm supporting the air flow. Remember, it takes less air as you sing higher, not more.

I can lightly mix up to *G5* above that I have to push
@PowerToSing
@PowerToSing 3 жыл бұрын
After the G5 you have to do the opposite...let up. Stop pushing and let the body do what it will naturally do. More push means tighter and tighter cords and more tension.

@@PowerToSing I learned that I'm a *counter-tenor* because after *15* my voice never changed Well my voice wasn't bright and light anymore But dark and feminine timbre Then when I start *mixing* my voice got lighter I'm *21* now and i sound like I'm *15* again But easy lows I'm comfortable down to *Eb3* and sometimes *C3* my supported range now is *(C3-G5-F6)* *F6* is my highest *headvoice* before I couldn't go pass *Eb6*

If I don't push chest, then my voice breaks the moment I go above speaking voice (at about A 3, bellow C4) I fall into a very weak and breathy falsetto like sound. Its like the soon I approach middle C (C4) my vocal chords are like "See ya later! We're out of here!" I'm in my 30s and obsessed with getting rid of this weakness.

Are you singing through the first bridge? Are your vocal cords coming together adequately? Is the larynx high? ? Are you singing loud? Soft? Breathy? What word or vowels are you singing?

Power To Sing yes, idk but it doesn't feel like falsetto, no its not high, medium volume I guess but when I go my highest my voice is really loud I'm not pushing it though there is no strain. I am not not breathy, I was doing an "ee " sound. The way you would say "key" without the k I should also add that it's very unlikely that I would have a mixed voice because I am only 13, but my voice has changed already. My lowest note is an E2. Idk if age has anything to do with his beside experience.

To know for sure I would probable need to hear you do it on different exercises or in a song. But from your description it's sound ing like you are headed in the right direction. And yes, if you are mixing as a 13 year old, you are an exception. I've never met a 13 year old boy who could do it without some lessons.
