I find it ironic that just 10 years ago Europe was desperate to ditch nuclear energy, but now they're starting to look at it more favorably. It took us a war to realize nuclear power is greener than burning gas.

Yeah, it's like as if the politicians on top were forced to act and not just sit on their yachts and jets and then they realized that maybe nuclear isn't as harmful or dangerous as it was made out to be ( It's literally safer than coal mining as long as it's maintained properly )

Well we always knew nuclear power was greener than gas or coal. That wasn't really the problem. The real problem was the fear mongering that happened during the Cold War because of fears of anything related to "nuclear" and the fact that Europe was close to Chernobyl when it blew. I also don't doubt alot of that fear mongering was spurred on by interests in the Coal and Gas industry.

@@mrjack08722 The power of fearmongering is honestly impressive. Even now, nuclear energy has been tainted by the unsafe conditions the USSR imposed on chernobyl and the sheer underbudgeting that place had gone through. Nuclear Power is very safe if done right, very efficient, and realistically generates waste that can be reprocessed into a variety of useful products. Re-refining old fuel into new fuel, depleted fuel for miltiary applications, hell. There are uses we haven't found yet.

It’s honestly tiring. And what sucks even more is how when something positive is done, it seems like it’s for a completely different reason. Like the segment where they explained the growth in solar energy in Europe. Awesome, amazing, but the reason why it’s even happening is because they don’t want to buy Russian oil. Glad it’s happening but it’s not like the lesson was learned.

Live in Australia here and know a tad about the grid: the bit about South Australia is wrong. It hit 100%+ renewables mid December last year mainly due to wind power at night and not batteries. During that period, battery discharge was only 0.5%, whilst wind was 67.2% during that period. It's '100%+' as the plus was exported to other Australian states via Victoria. Batteries are only mainly used currently to fill intermittent supply shortages as it is the fastest to discharge into the grid vs other alternatives.

For example he blames Russia for backing out of grain deal which inflates Afghanistan's food crisis but doesnt cover the wests part in why Russia backed out. Just blames Russia. Its small little nudging like that you need to look out for.

Another example is to compare how they report Trumps indictments as normal law process but the very next story they talk about the venezuelas president candidate being politically prosecuted by the incumbent president with raids on his home etc.... Something Trump has also suffered at the hands of Biden.... Similar stories reported differently with different language to influence your opinion on them.

That is VERY different from a raid due to "defamation." Like seriously...Go to your workplace and take home a bunch of very important documents, then refuse to return them. Wait and see how long it takes for the cops to get a warrant for your house... Also anyone with half a brain blames Russia...Even Russian citizens were voicing their displeasure until their government started arresting them by the thousands.

Hey Swag Team. The Chinese made solar panels have been causing problems with local radio traffic in the Netherlands. In particular, the emergency systems used by first responders (police, firefighters) and railway traffic system GSM-R. The resistors in the mass produced solar panels don't all meet up to European standards but still get installed a lot. The coils cause electromagnetic fields which disrupt communications of such vital Dutch radio infrastructure.

Theres just some components of the Chinese made solar panels that have been making headlines in the Dutch news the past months for causing disturbances or complete breakages of radio traffic due to electromagnetic fields. But both these parts were mentioned in the national news reports all the same.

Hey, great video. I just wanted to request that you would add sources and the dates on the screenshots of the headlines you use. Currently anyone could use Word and type in big bold print and make it seem like a headline. Including you. To prevent this from being exploited and viewers from getting mislead, adding the necessary information to prove reliability of the existence of the source would be appreciated. Then everyone could make their own judgement of the truthiness of the source. In addition, it would increase the trust towards these videos.

Took us long enough 🙄 I genuinely believe that oil is extremely valuable, because it's very cheap to harvest, very energy dense, easy to transport, and very versatile in it's use, but it's also obvious that, even if we ignore the impact of co2 on the climate, we can't base our entire energy sector on oil, because it's a very finite resource, and our energy demands keep increasing (as they should) A combination of renewable, fossil and nuclear energy is the obvious answer, until we manage to create fusion energy.

Thank you for you very well done breakdown on the Maui fires. Wildfire mitigation practices in the USA are often undoing colonial era damage, or rectifying the "fixes" the forest service did in the early 1900s. Returning any land back to a pre settlement state. Will make it resistant to fire and easier maintain.

Quick comment about the $700 payment to Maui fire victims. Folks get $700 to buy clothes and food and immediate needs while their overall status for additional FEMA aid is evaluated. $700 definitely isn't enough initial money and should probably be $3,000 or something, but it isn't the ONLY aid those folks will receive.

If all the companies sponsoring youtube creators designed their ads to sound like 1930s radio ads, i'd maybe be a little less pissed that we still have to have ads in our video content.

I actually really like the intro music that you guys have been using for the last 2 monthly news episodes. Normally I just skip the intro and get to the news but now I’m actually staying for the intro because it has really good songs. Keep at it, y’all are fantastic!❤
