I’m a season rider. Took about two years off and sold all my wheels. I just came back to euc again but with the intentions to teach my wife and kids how to ride. I bought the a2, in two days I got my wife riding. My daughter which is 10 after two two day just finally felt the feeling of balancing on the a2. I think a few more sessions she’ll be riding soon. The a2 is still a little heavy for the 10 year old. For me coming from s18,v11,AR+, the A2 is a nice learner wheel. The smallest wheel I’ve been on. Well it’s good to be back on the wheel, soon with the family.

My progression of wheels is a follows: InMotion V8S, InMotion V11, InMotion V12, Nikola AR+ (2,700wh, 100V), and Master Pro V3. I don't intend to sell any of them. When I got a new wheel, I asked myself "What can this new wheel offer that I don't already have?" with the idea that all will be used, and none are "dated" - Of course these expensive little guys cost a small fortune when added up. If I were to go back in time, with a fixed budget of $4,500 for 5 years, and maximum enjoyment of learning, commuting on, and perfecting EUCs, --- I would get the InMotion V8s, and the Veteran Sherman Max.

I recommend owning a street euc, two off road euc and a small euc on the side. You need two wheels for single track, because you are going to break one wheel. While one is away for repair, you got a back up. I went from V5f to MSP HS. Hitting the 40 mph within the first 2 weeks of owning the MSP. 16 mph was too slow for me. Twee weeks later my Sherman arrived. It was more stable at the same speeds.

You always make top notch EUC videos. I really appreciate what you do even though I'm not a newbie anymore. :) My biggest factor when considering any wheel, is reliability. I saw the V12 cut out, and the S20 catch fire, and those really spooked me. I'm usually apprehensive when buying a wheel that is not already tested by people like you, because I don't want to be a crash test dummy. I'd usually give it around 6 months post-release before I deem a wheel adequately tested by the EUC community. The older wheels that have been out for years are probably the safest. I wanted to buy the Master Pro but wrongway gave a scathing review of the V1 build quality. However, the V3 now looks awesome so I'm saving up for that. I eventually settled on the EX20s as my primary wheel (for now) because the community seems to have very little issues with it, and it's built like a tank! It took me almost 12 months to ride that thing confidently but I think I got it now. Lol.

Thank you for the kind words! After riding my Master Pro for over a year, the build quality really was poor at the beginning. After all, mine was a V1, with the plastic battery boxes and everything. But since then, I upgraded to a V2 and got metal battery boxes for free from Begode, and it really was a game changer for me. I actually just took the ET max out for a test ride today, and it feels and performs eerily similar to a Master Pro! If you don't need the ridiculous range that the Master P has to offer, then the Max might be something that would pique your interest. Personally, I've lately gravitated away from the ultra heavy wheels and I've enjoyed lighter ones more, while the Master Pro collected dust a bit, sadly. What I can say about modern Begode EUCs like the Master Pro is that they are incredibly reliable, and they don't get enough credit for that because of their old reputation.

The Inmotion V8S-2023 (no side LEDs, matte finish) is selling for $650 to $699 with a protective cover, making it a good choice for a first EUC to learn on, before buying a larger EUC.

I've chosen my first EUC. They just haven't finished making the Begode Falcon yet. Price ($1,600), size (A2 sized), speed/range, suspension and metal framing. Not too weak, not too strong.

I got the S16 pro and it is fun however it's not fast enough to be the end all for me. $1950. Falcon and something beefy in the future could be a good combo, just like pro and something beefy will be, especially since pro does off-road quite well actually, and I do a lot of off-road 😊
@ADadSupreme
@ADadSupreme 2 ай бұрын
@@ianl1741 That makes sense. I'd be a hobbyist, not an enthusiast as you are. I only plan on one wheel, never fully off-roading and probably never will hit the top speed they say the Falcon will hit (30ish?) Based on your video (which was very well presented btw), taking all those factors in if the Falcon is what Begode advertised I'd never need another wheel. It hits every single box you mentioned in my case.
@ianl1741
@ianl1741 2 ай бұрын
@@ADadSupreme btw, pro has a top speed of 37 but actually goes 30-34. Falcon top at 30 actually means you go around 25. I honestly think the s16pro would be better as a single wheel than the falcon. Pro already doesn't have quite enough range for all the riding you may want to do. Falcon has 30% less! And it has half the power. Don't save all that much in the weight dept. You'd be surprised how slow 30mph feels in an EUC actually...it's the standing and the motorcycle helmet. Seated that feels much faster. So maybe falcon is truly what you need. But Also, if you ride with others the S16 speakers are really nice. It's just a much better value for what you get than falcon. However, if you get falcon you could always get something else in future as well which would complement it if you need more.
@ADadSupreme
@ADadSupreme 2 ай бұрын
@@ianl1741 "btw, pro has a top speed of 37 but actually goes 30-34. Falcon top at 30 actually means you go around 25." Perfect! I'm almost 60 so I don't need to go 37mph. So for me it translates to safer top speed, save close to $500 for more/better safety gear with the Falcon. I also don't like blasting music through speakers in public. I grew up in the Boom Box era so I know how annoying that can be for other pedestrians. A lot of people don't seem to like EUCs because they see riders doing crazy things in traffic, adding a speaker blasting music gives them more ammunition to want to either ban or make people buy insurance for EUCs.

My wheel progression is MCM5 V2 (460wh), RS19 HS, OG Sherman. Currently, I own an OG Sherman, which is my daily driver, and purchased a 2nd hand Begode T3 for short distance commuting, like buying something from the convenience store, and to bring with me on road trips (I have a small hatchback car, so T3 is best for that).

I’m on my 3rd wheel (KS-14D, A2, V11) and I have to say, if you are about to really use your EUC for different purposes, it’s always better to own 2 wheels (one for last mile/light/bus, one for off-road/commuting/travel) because you can’t have a light wheel that is crazy poweful. I do find that going over 40kph (25mph) is risky because regardless if the wheel is able to, your fall will be painful (even with protection). I don’t say to not go above this speed but the consequences might be important (and costly). I do believe that if I want/need to go at that speed, I will buy a scooter/motorcycle, has a registration, insurance…

Love the content that you are putting out. I am about to pull the trigger on my first EUC and you have helped a ton. I have narrowed it to the V4 Master, the Begode Extreme, and the S22 Pro. I want to use it on road and trails. Any thoughts on the three?
@WheelGoodTime
@WheelGoodTime 3 ай бұрын
The S22 Pro is great... Until it's not 🤣 it can be pretty hit or miss with the quality. I would be hard pressed between the V4 Master and the Extreme, they are both stellar EUCs. The Extreme has higher build quality/durability as a trail-focused EUC, but the Master excels on the street and does very well on trails as well. You can expect to ride 5-10 mph faster on the street (after practicing for a while of course) with the V4 master compared to the extreme, but I highly recommend both. You won't ever "outgrow" either of those EUCs in my opinion 🙂

You will have drops when you start off so I am an advocate of getting a used wheel, something someone outgrew. You can get ~1000 mile 16X, 18XL, and V12HTs for relatively cheap and often with decent powerpads thrown in. And a scratched up plastic exterior wheel you paid half price for will let you figure out what you actually want in your next wheel. Non-suspension wheels have basically no wear parts on them getting one second hand is usually just a matter of how the battery charging was handled, with sub 3k mile wheels usually having plenty of life still in them and their tires. Though depending on what kind of streets you are riding non-suspension can be a non-option.

I'm tossing up between the Begode T4 Pro and the Kingsong S16 Pro. In my country they're roughly the same price, the T4 actually being ~$100 less. I like the look of the EX30 but can't justify spending $2000+ more than a T4/S16 which are already incredibly pricey.
@WheelGoodTime
@WheelGoodTime 2 ай бұрын
If given the choice, I would likely choose the T4 Pro myself. The reason for that is because it has a higher voltage system what's more battery, so we'll have slightly better range and more power, so it I'll take a bit longer to outgrow 🙂

Great content as always! I have heard rule #1 many times and I thank ask… where did you get the number from? Why 1/2 and not 1/4 ? because this is what I have seen. My 11 years old luv riding the CP and my 12 years old niece ripppp the MP. From my experience and discussion with other experts riders, riding a big wheel is about technique not weight ratio. And my skinny butt is definitely not twice the weight 😂. So from my own experience, I tell new riders the weight ratio thing is a myth… get the wheel that you want even if it’s an heavy one. No need putting 2 grand on a wheel that you will outgrow in 2 weeks. Wiser to invest in a good fairing system instead! 👍
@WheelGoodTime
@WheelGoodTime 3 ай бұрын
That's a good question, I haven't heard that rule until fairly recently, but it resonated with me a lot as a good rule of thumb. Another thing I just considered is that beginners don't seem to be interested to do 50+ mile rides right away. That wasn't on my mind at first. One thing i'll say is that your philosophy of buying the super-wheel that you want right away is the typical thing these days. Jason at eWheels said that in 2023, "beginner" EUC sales plummeted, and people largely just opted for buying the wheel they wanted straight away.

I'm going to get my first wheel this year im really excited and i have a ton of questions but one thing that scares me is the voltage i've heard some of these wheels can shock you with enough current to kill you and lots of other stories about them catching fire while riding or charging?
@WheelGoodTime
@WheelGoodTime 2 ай бұрын
There's never been a single recorded EUC related electrocution. 🙂 Old EUCs used to catch fire from time to time because of using batteries that couldn't handle the current load than an EUC demands. Since then, they have dramatically increased their safety and build quality. EUC fires are virtually non-existent now.

Begode's adult quality and reliability has improved dramatically in the last few years. In fact I will even say that they are the most reliable brand on the market right now. They have had dynamic tilt back on all of their wheels for about a year now. As much as I love leaperkim, their products have been either hit or miss. The Sherman, Lynx and the Sherman s are stellar, but the Abrams what's a major flop due to cutouts, and the patton also has some major unresolved cutout issues that few are talking about 😭 I'm not hating on any particular brand, they all have their strengths and weaknesses, but Begode has improved by leaps and bounds lately 🙂

A strange ruler? And why is there such a gap of 1000 - 3000W, don't you think that something is missing? And then, why did you decide that a person wants to grow? Besides, why are there no full-fledged mudguards in this line? There are people who do not need more than 50 km. h. and this is the majority.😉
