This is the longplay of Ninja Gaiden Trilogy (in Japan called Ninja Ryukenden Tomoe), a collection with the titles of the classic NES series released for the Super NES by Tecmo. The Ninja Gaiden saga unfolds with the protagonists as Ryu Hayabusa and Irene Lew and each game has a different plot, are actually the same NES games.
The Ninja Gaiden saga has become innovative for being a pioneer in the cutscenes and worry too much about the plot of the game, which made all have great interest in the plot as a whole also established itself as one of the hardest games of all time. Ninja Gaiden is a game that I like a lot, but I liked more of the NES versions than the Trilogy.
Unfortunately this version does not present any significant new (only the passwords and musics a little better) or extras and even options to configure the controls (in the emulator can be configured as desired, but the console is not possible and have to jump with A and attack with B. horrible) also was extremely shameful the producers do not put extras and forget to put the excellent staff rolls that exist in versions of NES (after ending appears game over and only)... unfortunately Ninja Gaiden Trilogy was a proof how not to do a collection of games and I hope the developers of games always consider this to revive classic games like this and always improve with extras and not releasing apparently unfinished games like that. A good game that unfortunately came out with things missing and without the recognition that deserve Ninja Gaiden series. -

Oh yes. Back then this game was like eating a very hot pizza while being extremely hungry. It burns your mouth into oblivion but you just can't stop eating/playing it. xD

@Joshua Hughes as a now 34yr old, they are ok. Not as hard as I remembered. But we didn't have a wealth of knowledge and practice from other systems back then. No mobile games, xbox, PSwhatevers. We were playing this real time. Some of us were good, some were great. Lot of us were shit lmao.

My brother and I loved the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy when we were younger. We loved 1 and 2 (3 not so much) and when they came out with the SNES collection we freaked out. Couldn’t ever find it to purchase but we sure rented the hell out of it from Blockbuster.

I had this thinking it was going to get the “Super Mario All-Stars” treatment…. Boy was I wrong, the 8-bit music sounds much better and polished, slightly more colorful 8-bit sprites.

My proudest video game achievement was on these games: Playing Ninja Gaiden I, II, and III back to back to back with NO DEATHS. Unfortunately, this took place before the days of streaming and video capture. The internet was barely even a thing back then... Now I am old, slow, and lazy. I doubt I'll be able to do it again.

Just one minute in and I can't believe how they managed to mess up the music so bad. But it's amazing to see this game beat without getting hit. Edit: what the fuck happened against the final boss of the first game???? It was just 2 blurs and down it went.

Yep, Ninja Gaiden 2 on Nes is one of my all time favorites. I beat it dozens of times. Nothing can reach the original 8 bit music of NG2. It was galaxies away from anything of nes.

The original nes version of “Ninja Gaiden” is so well put together, that it was absolutely unecessary to remake it. Even giving it a 16-bit upgrade with new music and sound.

It's not as bad as people keep saying. Oh course it's a bit underwhelming as the SNES could have done much better (like Mario All Stars) but that doesn't make this trilogy bad. Plays exactly like the NES ones, has a little bit of graphics upgrade (even though it lost some effects) and the music is just... SNES, I guess. Not worth the money people ask for it nowadays on eBay but still a nice cartridge if you had the opportunity to get it while it was cheap.

As far as remakes go, this one is really badly done. Missing a lot of parallax scrolling and music isn’t as good as NES. This is a novelty more than anything and only a must have if you’re a mega ninja gaiden collector

This is a NES game. This and the 2nd one came out on the NES and the 3rd one came later on the Sega Genesis. They just put them all in a collection and put it on the SNES. It's not a remake but they did alter the music and added darker colors and slight better details.

At 12:08 "Getting fight to the point". Spell checker person was off that day :) Also feel the audio wasn't as good in this version as the NES. For example, when Irene shoots Ryu in the NES version, actually sounds like a sharp "BANG"! But in this port at 3:30 sounds like she farted. Also, the drum beat in many stages just isn't there compared to the NES. I have issues with the sound bcs I like game soundtracks. But overall I feel this is a very good port. Also am impressed with the players skills. Definitely kicked Jaquio's ass here!

Because they did such a sad job with the sound and music, including changing the entire moods of sone scenes by removing the music entirely and adding in stupid running noises all out of place. Upon realizing this, they chose not to ruin the graphics too.

This game didn't need a remake. The graphics where the some of the best of the NES. It shows in the game itself. A stronger color pallet and few minor graphical updates is all im seeing, I know its a 16 bit color pallet used on 8 bit NES sprite design, but still even improving it as it is... was not needed.

I think I'm pissed that the original boss music only plays in the NGI sections, for some reason, NGII and NGIII sections' boss musics used the NGI Stage 5-1 and final boss music.

I remember shedding tons of blood, sweat, and tears trying to beat that son-of-a-bitch. I remember all the curse words and the broken controllers, so hell yeah, I was crying when I finally beat the game, crying tears of joy and pride. What made it even better was the fact the Ninja Gaiden was one of the few games at the time to actually HAVE an ending worth speaking of.

I remember seeing this rom and downloading it way back in the day, because hey, I loved ninja gaiden for the NES. Much like anybody who played the NES games, I couldn't believe what they did with the music. But more than that, now I see there are so many things that are terrible with this, not just the music. The lightning/darkness bit in the second games third act is just... removed? Why? The last bosses in nearly every game seem easier, like they spew less projectiles which are slower. In fact, the games themselves seem easier, with fewer enemies in places and a slower pace overall compared to their NES counterparts. The graphics look practically identical to the NES games, which is laughable. The "main" menu for the game itself looks like this game was made in flash, not done by the developers behind the games themselves. Also, green blood? Oh noes, better censor blood color.

Would be nice if you actually put TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun) in the title or description so as not to deceive people that you legitimately played the game flawlessly.
