PES is still the second highest selling football game. That's PES. Pro Evo Soccer. It started off in the early 90s called professional international super star soccer. It sold well here in England. No one ever complained that the game was called soccer. Because we here in England called it soccer in the 90s. And the 80s. And the 70s. World soccer magazine is the best football magazine for grown ups. Soccer stars is the the best football magazine for kids. These magazines have been published for decades. The idea that only Americans call football soccer is very new. There nothing wrong with calling it soccer. Pele did. It's fine.

Messi signing for MLS is massive. It is a great move for MLS and Messi. Messi is one of the top players World soccer / football history. MLS has passionate fans. The MLS is a top league. How about bringing in the 6 leading Scottish sides, Glasgow Celtic, Glasgow Rangers, Aberdeen, Heart of Midlothian, Hibernian and Dundee United into the MLS to play sides from the eastern conference? Scotland would bring money, and history. The MLS would bring money and commercial potential.

This will NEVER happen. Americans have been playing their version of "football for over 150 years and it is deeply ingrained in their sports culture. Visit almost any American High School on a Friday night from Sept-December, anywhere from deep red Texas to deep blue California, and you'll see how much Americans love their version of football.
