Warner Bro's acting like children again by making u reupload? The fact that they do not even get the concept of why someone would be watching a reaction to one of their releases in the first place (which is erm, exclusively consumers of WB content wanting to re experience moments of a cinematic experience they have already paid a valid license for, either through a cinema ticket or the purchase of a title on home video format) shows the level of incompetency and greed at the studio head level, one of the reasons that Nolan and his Syncopy production company dumped them after 15 years in order to take Oppenheimer to Universal. You ever going to get back to the Marvel stuff chaps? Thanks again for a great vid. Watching Lewis sprout over the last couple of years into the amazing young man he is now is as big a privilege as I have had on KZfaq!

re: the joker, People like Jack Nicholson's joker a lot because he was able to combine the zaniness as well as psychosis of the character. Definitely watch 1990 batman to make your own decision. I love them both sincerely, but will always admit that The Dark Knight is the best Batman movie I've ever seen and Heath had a lot to do w it. Re: Katy Holmes, many speculate that Tom Cruise was involved with her not doing the sequel(they were an item at the time).

How good was the trilogy huh? Nolan is an absolute genius, he's most likely to be the greatest director of this era, with this trilogy, Interstellar, Inception, etc, etc great original films. Awesome reaction

One unfortunate thing is that here in the United States is that the first night of release? There was a terrible tragic mass shooting at a movie theater that took all the headlines and whenever the American press talks about the Dark Knight Rises? They bring up Heath Ledgers performance as the Joker as the shooters inspiration. Very ugly situation that I wish never happened. Can't even watch a Batman movie without getting shot or murdered. As for the movie? Great way to finish a trilogy. The Dark Knight Trilogy wasn't about Batman? It was about Bruce.

My Favourite live action Joker, hands down Jack Nicholson 🙌 Ledger's joker was amazing, but Nicholson's is just a psychotic mobster and he played it beautifully 👌 that being said... Mark Hamill IS the voice of the joker in my opinion and a live action Mark Hamill Joker would completely steal the show.

The question is legitimate, his death definitely canonized his role, and the fact that the Joker he played is no Joker from a comic book, but only a comic book MOVIE fan would think like you. Whether he is alive or dead it doesnt take away from it being a brilliant prefomance which is why its a dumb question also, you are great at assuming! I have read numerous comics, watched almost every Batman film both animated and live action, and done extensive character studies on both Joker and Batman/Bruce Wayne. So thanks for the ad hominem!

I think both this one and Batman Begins are better than The dark knight . Heath Legder as joker carries that movie but i think the story and setting overall isnt as good as the other too. too much random small plots and information and just deosnt feel like there is a structure in the drack knight

Hard disagree. Batman Begins and this one are all over the place. At least this one builds off Dark Knight and the cast is great. Katie Holmes is painful to watch.

Not the greatest film in retrospect but coming off The Dark Knight I was so pumped for this film! Regardless of their voice choices you can't deny Christian Bale and Tom Hardy are iconic in these roles, and Anne Hathaway is probably the best take on Catwoman that blends corny one-liners and real emotional struggle. This and Inception sort of marked Nolan's decline in editing and score, unfortunately, but I appreciate that Nolan and co make deliberate choices to have each Batman film have an authentic theme and stakes, and to have the city feel like it's going through something major and different in each film. There's something about this trilogy, particularly the second and third films, where it feels like it's more than just a superhero film.

@@jlhanlon1980 lmao. cultist? because his performance was phenomenal comic book or not? all the other jokers are lame in comparison to his performance. you're focused on the wrong details and want to be very judgmental of something you could never come close to doing better so maybe you shouldn't critique things negatively that you can't do better yourself?

What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that TDK has a horrible ending, Batman would never go into hiding and take the blame for killing 5 people, that's against his whole character. IDFAF how Nolan interprets it, it's still wrong for him comic canonically, and if you want proof, they undo the entire movie in this film. Also Ledger didn't play any Joker from the comics I know. Keep in mind I saw TDK in theaters two times. Once I got over the whole thing about Ledger dying and everything, I realized how flawed of a movie it truly is, and I'm not saying it's horrible but it's not worth the praise it gets. The Oscar that year should have went to Downey jr for Tropic Thunder instead of him.

The Joker that Ledger played was not a comic book accurate Joker. He was a good psycho, but not the Joker that I knew. I actually thought Harvey Dent was the best villain of the movie. Tom cruise told her that she would not make money doing this movie and that's exactly why she didn't do this and did mad money instead and this movie ended up making over a billion dollars and it was actually the first time an actor won for a comic book film.
