I got a good one for 12,500k with good history. Only thing about this car is the engine runs hot if you hit it hard and you'll smell oil burning. These older cars have the dashboard leather coming up. You can take it to a car interior shop and they'll tack it down but jaguar wont fix it.

They are really reliable I have a 2009 Jaguar XF SC and a 2012 Jag XJL SC, both are really reliable. It is the same procedure as every other car keep your car well maintained and most importantly on time and the car won't throw any fits. My XF is tuned by ETG, has custom brakes and calipers, and Mina Gallery exhaust, etc. I have not serviced it in the past 3-4 years only did regular oil changes. And still the car had no issues and I mean NO ISSUES at all. This past July till now i spent $2-$3k on regular maintenance such as spark plugs, fuel filter, brake fluid flush, diff fluid flush ,etc and this price does include a set of new Michelin A/S 3+'s. Again these services should have been done on a timely manner, but i just never got to them for 3-4 years. It doesnt cost much either if you get them done when it is time such as if spark plugs are due for changing it will be like $200-300, and then a couple of months later or a year or so later the brake fluid flush is due ($80). Once again it cost me $2-3k because i got everything done at once and yes this includes a set of new tires. I've got roughly 115,000 miles on the XF and feels and drives brand new. It feels as if its got a ton of life left. On the other hand my bone stock XJL only has 55,000 miles on it. Moral of the story is if you keep any car well maintained and take care of it, it'll take care of you. There are a ton of people that keep their cars dirty and not maintained and complain that it is not reliable. Hopefully this story doesn't bore you, just trying to help. :) Best of luck.

Too many people think this way but they are no different than maintaining any other car. Just because it costs more to buy doesn’t necessarily mean they cost more to fix. Do your regular service checks and change the oil. Treat any car good and it will return the favor!

Very true mine is at 75k and i needed a new starter and water pump. Pump was leaking and with that labor along with 75k maintenance total came to $2700. Insanely expensive car to maintain be warned

@@TheDarth24 It's Ford parts mate, Water pump £35 on ebay + hour labour = £80 total. (About $100) Where the hell are you taking the car to be charged $2700 are you taking it to a Ferrari garage? Just take it to a backstreet garage, there's nothing complex with the engine.

@@nudisco300 he probably to it to somewhere like pepboys, cause They wanted to charge me $1,000 just to replace tie rods, and nearly $1,000 just to replace the mass cylinder on my BMW. when in reality it’s a simple job, I just found a trusted mechanic that fixes cars at his house, most professional car places overcharge tf out of people and since they pay, they just keep doing it lmao

Clearly you never driven or owned one my JagUar has been perfect and totally reliable. Parts form a dealer are costly but go to the small private dealers and you get parts at like 20% of the big dealers prices.
