My dog and I head into the bush to build a small bushcraft camp using fully traditional gear.
In this video, Comet and I go on another adventure in the Chilcotin backcountry to build a small camp using traditional gear and tools. I set up alongside a large slough-grass meadow, and did all sorts of interesting tasks, serving as great practice and adding to my knowledge of wilderness living. Shelter building with natural materials, some much needed camp cooking practice using some tender beaver meat, foraging the forest floor for edible and medicinal plants, some good old fire crafting practice, and of course a ton tool work, focusing on improving my technique and familiarity though each task mentioned, and the many more featured in this video.
Special thanks to Jackson for supplying me with the beaver meat. It was by far the most tender and flavorful meat I am yet to have in the bush. Thanks a lot, buddy!
