It’s an interesting one about whether to give away the location. Personally I think as the location for this video is a very well known area of the Lakes I don’t see the need for the secrecy, but everyone to their own. This is actually one of the few areas of the Lakes I haven’t personally been to, but definitely on the to do list. Really enjoyed the vlog, keep up the good work.

That was the most enjoyable wild camp video I have ever seen. You have a lovely happy personality, and the joy you feel out there is very evident and welcome. I know those feelings well myself. As a 70 year old fart, who has been wild camping for the best part of 55 years. I think you are the first outdoors man I have seen, who actually merits possession of a Hilleberg. Rather than the vast majority who feel entitled, but little more. You even know how too cook. . . doesn't that just add to the pleasure of being out there. Hats off to you bonny lad. Stay safe and cosy, and have yourself a wonderful Christmas. My respects, and all the best too you. Regards from Keith in Pembrokeshire.

I'm listening to an new audiobook at the moment called The Book of Trespass, it's about land ownership in Britain and how we ended up being fenced off from most of what used to be common land. It's kind of told as a history of British land ownership and how we got screwed over by the elites (relevant haha), interspersed with the author's accounts of trespassing in cool places (and being chased off a lot). Really interesting and probably right up your street!

I used to be up all night making sure the kids weren’t pressed up against the sides of the tent with the moisture seeping into their bags. I was sooo happy when we got a bigger tent & we weren’t up against the sides anymore. Then also, I was always glad for the rain to turn to snow. Then it was quiet and I could get some sleep. 😂 Earplugs never worked for me, but I’ve discovered the sleep mask with flat earbuds inside. I listen to the audio books most nights and it’s pretty good at blocking out other noises. Especially with a beanie over them. Total quiet from outside noise really. I just have to remember to bookmark my place for those nights I sleep through a chapter or two!

‘Tuesdays with Morrie’ by Mitch Albom. I recommend it to anyone. Summary .... Tuesdays with Morrie is the final lesson between a college professor, Morrie, and one of his long lost students and the author of the book, Mitch Albom. After seeing his professor in an interview on the show "Nightline," the author is reminded of a promise he made sixteen years ago to keep in touch with him. Now stricken with ALS, Morrie does not have much time left, and Mitch recognizes this fact. He travels from Michigan to Massachusetts to meet with him. This meeting goes well and affects Mitch and Morrie so much that they meet for the next fourteen consecutive Tuesdays, up until Morrie passes away. During each of these meetings, they discuss a different topic about life. These topics make up the content of the book and include death, love, culture, marriage, regret and the world we live in, among many others. The reader feels many emotions while reading this book, ranging from happiness to sadness, and more than likely, will be wiping away tears at the end. It makes the reader think about their own life and ponder aging, forgiveness, family, compassion, and mentors in life, just as Mitch Albom does during the course of the book. (That was copies and paste, I am not that good relaying a story! Hehe) Enjoy, if anyone checks it out. It’s free on audio book. Not seen it myself, its been made into a movie 🍿

It’s so good to hear you don’t give a monkeys 🐒 with regards to weight. I’ve had to stop hiking with two people because their obsession with weight was ruining the experience. Loving your content. Peace & Love
