20yr old Udodi (9.92/19.91) with his great mechanics is starting to realise his potential after winning the WU20 200m Gold in 2021. Nigeria could put together a WC medal-winning 4x1 Team of all college athletes in Budapest!

@@evsters8920 yeah, I made that comment and immediately was kicking myself for not including a couple of other squads or seeing if there have been any big times this season. The handoffs usually take out the Americans... so they only win when they care enough to practice. England, China, Canada, Italy (if Jacobs is healthy), etc....do a better job so are usually in the mix.

Could someone explain to me what Big thing happened? It seems like a large number of strong athletes are running competitive times and that they will be racing with each other in different events through the rest of the year. Isn't that the normal state of affairs in the track world?

Wen he broke d high school record at 16, USA approached him. He was d 2nd best at his age(generation) in the 200m behind Erriyon Knighton, so he actually had a realistic chance of making their then u-20 team and subsequently in future, their main team. As a boy proud of his African heritage who speaks his local dialect opted to represent Nigeria

I am constantly amazed as I observe the difference between the speed, agility, and strength in general of men compared to women. There is just no way the two genders can mix in sport of any kind. In every way men are physically stronger and faster than women ... and I really respect that.

He's a beast. He just missed out last year on the top 3 in the 200m. Good to see him busting his ass to get to the next level. He is a real threat at the World Championships as well, despite the USA's dominance in both. Sad for Micah though. I would bet his training is geared toward the summer since he just missed out on the National team last year, but he's had really bad luck at the indoor & outdoor NCAAs.

@@LoneGunmanProd Yeah, but I don't know if he'll be 100% in time for the NCAA Championships. He BARELY lost to Laird, he ran badly and lost to everybody, and this year he's a step slow when there are 5 guys who can run under 10.00. He's been amazing in the summer meets against the pros, but he's snake-bitten in the NCAAs. Even last year when he false-started out of the 60m semi-finals. Just frustrating.
