🎤 This is my first video session inside my recently fitted out tiny narrowboat studio. I want to share some of my creative processes, including a glimpse into what makes travelling songwriter such as my self tick. As a musician myself I have to say Benny that was awesome. So creative. In a way it took me back to the late 60’s early, 70’s and hearing for the first time a wonderful LP by the Moody Blues ‘Threshold of a Dream’. Your flute gave the composition an ethereal dimension. 10/10. Looking forward to more of these videos. This is a unique and new way of presenting the work of a prolific songwriter.

I’m sitting here at 2:48am in Alabama awake and in fair pain from illness. This was so relaxing. Just wanted to thank you. I use your music a lot in meditation and in , sometimes, futile efforts at pain relief. Also calming though. ❤

We really enjoyed listening to your new song and how you put these layers together. I got super relaxed with the flute and the clapping sound in the song, also really enjoyed the space in the rambler boat there is lots of light and the winter trees look so cool in the background. My husband and I are thoroughly enjoying watching your process and gift of music! We find the number of instruments that you play well amazing! I learned to play 10 instruments myself, but have not kept playing them all. I’ve self-recorded a lot, but have not used layering. I’ve composed a lot of educational piano solos, and taught piano for 54 years. We have seen all your Ben and Emily videos and have really enjoyed them. We love Allen a lot! Just wanted to say we enjoy all that you are doing, and keep it up!

Your music Mr. Ben, has always transformed my attention into a dreamy wave. It's actually a bit intense at times, the alter vibration the mind goes into, but it's great with the slow boat. Oh and I think the water is part of the hypnotic effect. 👍

I think your boat/studio is fantastic. Well done Benny. As I have been catching up with your previous vlogs (now up to date), I listened to your many musical pieces. I will be honest, as I am sure you would appreciate honest opinion. At first, I thought your music was some kind of ethereal jazz. Just you doing your thing with little meaning, just words to music. BUT, now I get it. I really do get what your music is all about, and this vlog helped me focus on it. I do like this song, too, by the way. Benny. You have a real talent. Very different from most of the stuff out there, but for a one man writer, singer, performer and recording artist, you are brilliant man. ❤ I wish you well and look forward to hearing more of your music.

Interesting to see how you record your music. Your song was very inspirational. We were surpirised you played all your instruments so well and sympathetically to the the song. We enjoyed it very much , in the past I have heard the influences of the Incredible String Band in your music, but this sounded very original.
