I'm afraid you missed an easter egg, When Sonic was mentioning Tom's boss or who was hunting Sonic, he held up a picture of the meme Sanic, which I noticed.

When sonic said “I hate mushrooms” I thought he was hating on Mario and his mushroom 😂

Theory: The tails post credit scene actually took place in the future (around Christmas) and Egg Man didn’t return back to earth and he went to Sonics home planet and is causing trouble so then tails is sent to go find sonic (the post credit scene)

When Sonic spin dashed the huge tank for the 1st time he said "I must have got a bonus life" I thought that was great.

Spoilers: Sanic was drawn and he is in the movie.

Back when Sonic was in his cave talking about the mushroom planet he said "I hate mushrooms" I felt like that was a jab at the Super Mario Bros from Nintendo

5 seconds in and Knuckles sniped his mom. That’s when we knew this was gonna be a crazy movie lol

Fun fact: Sonic has never actually said “Gotta go fast” in literally anything before this movie. It’s a misconception that started with the main theme song of Sonic X, which the main hook for the song is “Gotta go fast”.

I love at the end when robotnik got to the mushroom land they showed him doing a wierd robot like dance..... if you look he was mimicking the movements of the robotnik mech from Sonic 2

Did anyone else count how may times Sonic hit Robotnik’s ship thinking it he’d destroy it in eight hits? 😂

There was also the inclusion of the music from Sonic Mania's intro animation at the beginning of the movie, as well as including the Sanic drawing later on. These moments were VERY important to me, as it showed they were not only making a movie for the fans, but they were including references of things that were CREATED by fans.

I definitely caught the fact that the town was called "green hills" as a reference to the first level of the game

At the cinema nearest to me the poster they are using has the scary sonic on it

Sonic's home planet is called Mobius not Morbious, and Tails's name isn't Miles Power, it's Miles Prower, it's a speed name-pun to Miles-Per-Hour/mph. One Easter Egg I noticed in the trailer that I haven't seen anyone talk about yet is the blue electric glow surrounding Sonic, this is a reference to Sonic's Light Speed Dash from Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2. The Crocodile people might be in reference to the villains from the Sonic Boom video game, namely Rise of Lyric The Mushroom Valley is not really a different planet, it's what's called a "Zone" and is located on Angel Island which floats above the Mobian Sky.

The entire theater cheered twice during the movie, and an even louder cheer when that End Credits scene came up. It got a standing ovation, and I wasn't surprised.

When I saw the movie I had a question: Is this a movie that everyone can see? And the answer was yes, you don't have to be Sonic fan to be entertained. For the first 85 minutes, the film was very good. The story had a good balance between humor and seriousness without being overstated. The Sonic and Robotnik characters were not one-dimensional, but seemed believable with emotion and flaws. The times when there were flaws in the movie were quickly forgotten. The last 14 minutes were a bit strange. When you as an audience had expected a longer ending battle and a long struggle for Sonic to be accepted to the world, the story suddenly went faster. It was like a lecture where the lecturer had gone over his appointed time and now was in a hurry to give a conclusion. So it gave a feeling of unanswered questions. The problem of making a family movie was noticed. Making a movie for both children who want to be entertained and for adults who are a little more demanding on a story. It is possible that since they are planning to make a series that they chose not to use the full story potential but it could possibly be harmful so early in the series. But on the whole it was a movie you could enjoy watching several times and hoping it would be a series. And see his favorite hedgehog in movie effects.

You did miss one important Easter egg: In the scene where Dr. Robotnik's liar runs out of power when he connects the quill to jumper cables, he grabs a lighter and then opens a circuit breaker panel to switch the power back on. On the panel there are TWO labels: "Evil Lair" and "Badniks", obviously referencing the name of the robots Dr. Eggman creates in the games. I thought that was a neat little nod to the games.

I caught a sign on one of the streets with the word "MEGA" and I'm assuming the word "drive" was in the corner, referencing the "Megadrive".

Loved seeing Tails, our theater was filled with applause after the Ending.... but when Tails showed up they all gasped and cheered more. It was great. On a side note, enjoying the Content & the knowledge you have. Would hope to win a pop of Sonic, if I don't thanks for the opportunity none the less!
