One of the first movies I took my daughter to, and she's a huge Sonic fan now. I grew up with the original Sega and Sonic games and I'm so happy these movies were good.

I was in a fully packed theater for this movie and in the mid credits when Shadow appeared more than half the people in the theater (myself included) screamed at the top of our lungs!!!!! And I loved that rather than get another famous celebrity they actually cast Colleen O'Shaughnessey who has voiced Tails for over a decade to play him. Not to mention how freaking amazing Idris Elba was as Knuckles.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Also ever since I saw this movie any time I am live texting with someone and those 3 dots appear I can’t help but say dot dot dot, dot dot dot, dot dot dot,🤣🤣🤣🤣 And anyone who thinks that this is a terrible movie, just tell yourselves that at least it’s not Mortal Kombat Annihilation, that movie is THE WOOOooooOOOOORST!!!!!

I enjoyed all the humans in this. They connect with the other characters and for me it's seamless. The only time I felt different was in Godzilla v Kong, all the humans seemed just lost & completely in the way and the human storyline didnt impact me. Since Sonic set up a nice cast in the first one, I personally would've been disappointed if they werent in the sequel & beyond.

This was a very fun Sequel to watch and once again, Jim Carrey steals the show in every scene!

This is the kind of movie where I'm able to make concessions for stuff that was clearly aimed more at kids/the general audience (dance scene, wedding stuff) because the rest of it is just so enjoyable. Hell, even those moments were enjoyable. It's just a great sequel all around. You could make an argument for the first film being more cohesive and this one being a little too long overall, but there's clearly an upward trend of quality. I can't wait for the third film (and the Knuckles show next year).

While in this movie it was presented in the story of being a result of the Emeralds forming together (at least that's the impression I get that everyone assumes at first), I think it's more like the Master Emerald should be thought of as a separate gem made to house and channel the Chaos Emerald's power, originally acting like a "safe" or a "conduit" for them, possibly with it's own power. I wonder if we'll ever see Hyper Sonic, I FEEL like we might have seen something like that with both Robtonik and the Echidna in the flashback who used the Master Emerald, although I feel like that's more akin to being the "dark super form" being a result of relying on Negative Chaos Energy, something that Chaos did in SA1. Which also helps explain why the Master Emerald and the regular Chaos Emeralds go dark after it's knocked out of Robotnik and it crumbling in Sonic's hands. 39:48 - 40:03 WELCOME TO THE SONIC FANDOM, SURAJ, THIS IS ALL WE DO!!! XD Also possible spoiler for Sonic 3: They mentioned that Shadow will stay a villain for the next movie and won't have the arc Knuckles has in this one. MAYBE he'll turn good in 4, but don't expect him to turn good in the next one. Plus considering the director used to work on Shadow's title game, safe to assume possibly more elements from that game to show up in the next one. Personally I hope Amy &/or Metal Sonic show up in the next one, but I don't know if they'll bring in them or other Sonic CD elements. I imagine it will pull more from SA2 and Shadow '05, and considering that the comics have stated the team exists, I'm hoping we get more Knuckles' Chaotix & SA1 specific elements for Knuckles spin-off show. Basically, I don't expect Chaos for the next movie, but I CAN SEE HIM POSSIBLY SHOWING UP in Knuckles' show. Also it's unknown if Jim will return for the next movie considering he stated this would be his last role, but both him and the staff have said that if he DOES come back, he's getting the fat suit, so we'll be getting an even more accurate Eggman in the next one. Don't know if the design of the suit will be 1:1, but he'll at least be fat and egg shaped.

Absolutely loved this sequel, I love how they’re taking huge key story notes from Sonic Adventures. Granted Chaos didn’t show up and we got teased for Shadow instead buuuut…That doesn’t mean he won’t show up. And other characters too! Aaaaahhhh I want it so bad!

I’ve been waiting for this reaction. Whether or not the movie is considered phenomenal depends on who you ask; I’m of the opinion that some of the writing with human characters (aside from Robotnik and his colleagues) prolongs the story in unnecessary ways, but everything the movie took from the games is excellent. Like always, Ben Schwartz and Jim Carrey are fantastic, and great to have Colleen O’ Shaughnessey reprise her role as Tails. Plus, Idris Elba. The dude not only made Knuckles return the to level of badassery he started as, compared to the charming but occasionally boring dumbass personality he’s been in most modern games, but he proved everyone who thought that they couldn’t make Knuckles sound sexy wrong! 😂 Can’t wait for Shadow in Part 3 (and potentially Amy, Rouge, Cream, and Cheese)

I actually like the parts with the people. While those scenes are definitely the weakest parts of the film they help set up the plot and I found it pretty funny at times.

I probably enjoyed both of these more than my kids lol. They love them, don't get me wrong, but these movies do right by the adult fans too. Other video game movies should take notes.

I'm a big SA2 nerd so I have to butt in here and say the hero/dark story levels in SA2 were not the same ! You guys are probably thinking of Sonic Heroes and/or Sonic 06. Also Shadow is not a failed clone, he's the end result of a project meant to create "the ultimate lifeform". The endgame boss of SA2 is /his/ failed prototype, a deformed monstrosity that just wants to die and take the whole world down with itself, essentially. There's a number of Shadow clone(s) arc in subsequent games though (Eggman's doing), I imagine that's where the confusion comes from. Also Shadow was created using alien blood/DNA, that much is true. Basically pretty much all your memories are correct to a degree lol Shadow's backstory is kind of a camel (if you get that reference) That all being said, this was a super enjoyable watch you guys :D your hype is contagious and I absolutely love how you picked up on all the game references unlike other reaction channels. Can't wait for the third one !
