Here is a quick diagnostic fix that I was able to do to fix my TV without having to throw it away or pay someone to fix it.

I hoped this would fix mine (as i say with my tv's gut are showing off) but my issue seems to be a all white screen with audio unaffected

I have exact model and had same scenario when unplug the smallest connector. But which board should I replace? My tv has metal screen cover above the board to find the model. It’s bit tough.

So after disassembling the TV, the very small connector, you want us to plug all those color-coded plugs back in and power up the monitor ?

What is the connection that you unplugged? As in what does it connect?

I replaced the board and still have a black screen. BUT, when i disconnect the same bottom left connector, instead of a backlit blue screen I get what seem like a test pattern, Installed this board and still black screen, however, if I disconnect same bottom connector on left side of board now screen runs thru Green Red Blue Red screens and then a horizontal pattern of those three colors bars and a white bar from top to bottom of the the screen and then back to green blue red screens, etc. but no TV menu or sound- no normal function...Any ideas?

@2005yost Is your TV still working, 6 years later? Mine was not turning on at all, even with the bottom cable disconnected. However, after powering with disconnected t-con and the bottom cable, it came back to life. However, it takes 10 seconds to turn on the LCD after pressing the power button. This seems to be a common symptom with these Sonys, which to me indicates something is still off, like a bad cap or a cracked solder joint. It is possible this was the problem with your TV as well, as opposed to the main board. But may be not. Thanks for the vid!

First I'd like to say, thanks for the video. I have a question about the plug you pulled out; is it ok to run the tv with that unplugged? Mine works like you said with it unplugged (minus the remote). I might should mention I have a different model than yours and the cheapest I could find mine for was $100.

+Michael Guidry I ran mine without it unplugged and it did not hurt it. However, yours being a different model I'm not sure.
