This scene cannot be described with words. All if the three are superb. I cannot tell however if Dorothy hears the balloon burst and ignores it or she just does not pay attention to the stupid altercations between Blanche and Sophia.

I don't think I'd be able to do this scene without flinching. I hate when balloons pop, or there's any loud noise similar to that. But these ladies were pros, and I'm sure they did several takes of it and got used to it.

I think Estelle flinching makes Sofia's realization that her balloon is gone funnier. Its more unexpected that way. ;) XD

I love The Golden Girls. They crack me up everyday with watching reruns. I remember when I was in junior high school I did stage acting and I have no idea how I did my parts without laughing at funny and hilarious lines but I did. Except for a couple of times where my characters was suppose to laugh. When I did stage acting I would have to say my favorite play that I was in was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I played the part of Mike TV. It's too bad the plays that I was in isn't here on youtube. But it is what it is.

This is a funny moment, just a lil tid bit, notice how the balloon is on a string when they walk in the door and on a stick then they are on the couch.....

I don't know the title, but Sophia's shoe problems were the B-plot for the episode. The A-plot revolved around Dorothy and Stan getting arrested for being "slumlords" (in a previous episode, Stan had inherited an old apartment building and tried to get Dorothy to jump on board, which she only did to keep her uncle Angelo from being evicted from the building). Rose had told her bosses at the TV station about the conditions, but didn't know that Dorothy and Stan were responsible.
