Gotta add the time she was describing dorothys love hate relationship with the detective and got so hot she sprayed herself in the face. Season 2 episode 23 or 24. Now so many more great moments come to mind, Blanche has become my favorite after all these years, Rue was just amazing!!

You know Dorothy i think maybe your being too hard on her. I know how difficult buying shoes can be. Sometimes you get yourself a really good looking salesman and you try to pretend you don’t notice his hands caressing your calf as he tries to keep his mind on shoes but all the time he’s thinking dare I peek, dare I look more, dare I look where no eyes have looked before. Then as he kneels there before you little beads of perspiration breaking out on his forehead as his breath becoming shorter and quicker. He ever so gently slips the supple leather on your quivering foot and you achieve a perfect fit. Come on old woman we need shoes now.

I think Bea was a better actress than Betty. She was stage-trained and that makes a difference. Betty started out in the early days of television. She is a ham and a comedienne, but I think the other three, who honed their craft on stage, were better dramatic actresses. Though I concur that Rue was the best!
