Bolshoye spasibo tebe for your wonderful videos because this year I became an auntie of a half Russian niece, and I sometimes talk with her in her mother's mother tongue. Thanks to you and all who make videos for Russian language learners like me! ✨️👍🤩♥️ 💕

Так интересно смотреть, как люди учат твой родной язык. Он довольно сложный для изучения, но я верю, что у всех всё получится. Удачи😊

Just 2 notes: 1. It's more natural to say "давно не виделись" instead of "долго не виделись" 2. The overall dialog is quite complex (looks like close to b2-c1 levels). Probably, it's worth making more such videos with different complexity (and mention the required level in the beginning of the video). But in general, this is really great you are trying different formats of your videos!

My maternal grandpa was Russian and he died when I was 14 back in 2006 but I was close with him and saw him everyday. I am so upset I didn’t try to learn Russian from him. I still remember listening to him talking to his Russian friends on the phone though. I remember “harasho” often

Wonderful format, Fedor! Thanks so much for this. It happens to be Teachers' Day in India today and just wanted to wish a wonderful teacher a very Happy Teachers'Day. Thank you for reminding this teacher about the joys of learning. Спасибо Вам большое 🙏☺️

Kinda same here (Finnish btw), I constantly stumble in reading and writing. Sure if I take time I can get it all right, but I absolutely screwed it up in the dialogue. Just could not read cyrillic fast enough.

Have been hammering the basics for a little under a month now. The thing that makes me stumble so much in pronunciation is the horrible lack of vowels. In my mother tongue, Finnish, most words are at least 50 % vowels. Trying to pronounce Russian feels like stumbling up a stairwell. Not giving up though. My goal is to be able to hold a basic conversation by the end of summer.

Fedja, if this were 2 girls talking, would there be a difference in the words used?

I think no because russian verbs have different endings only with past form

What's the difference between семьëй and семья?
@rosalyn..8 ай бұрын
семья is nominative case and семьёй is instrumental case. Nominative case is the standard/default form of a word, in this case семья or ‘family’, and the second, instrumental, tells you with who, with what, how - ‘with my family’ - ‘с семьёй’.
