I start with no subtitles and try to get see if I can get the jist. Then I put on Russian subtitles and understand a little bit more, and then peek at the English transcript when I'm losing it. (three little dots near the like/dislike buttons) Then I listen again without any subtitles.

This really is a great way to learn. I have a request. Can you do a video on all the words about cooking. There seem to be so many.

Hi, Ron. You can look up some of the videos made by Russian with Max, Anna Cher and Elena Jung. I can remember at least seven videos made by those three instructors, relating to preparing salads (all), Japanese food (Elena), pilaf (Max), etc. They don’t cover all the words, but it’s a start. I hope you find them useful.

Congratulations! Yes, that is exactly what I tell my students, better listen to the same information a few times until you master it, than listen to several things and not learn much. Спасибо большое, I really enjoy your videos!

Федор, чтение великой художественной литературы - это тоже способ познания. Великие авторы создают "реальных людей" , чьи мысли вы сможете прочитать без телепатии. Писатели описывают то, что живые люди никогда не расскажут другим, о своих подлинных мыслях и переживаниях. Без этих книг женщина никогда не узнает внутренний мир мужчины, а мужчина - женщины. И даже можно избежать типичных ошибок общения, имея в голове запас сюжетов и психологических портретов многих литературных героев.

Thanks for the constant challenges! :D You are an awesome teacher!! UwU By the way I have a question: *When you are using "she" in the subtitles, you refer of "literature" as a feminine noun? Is there a way to easily recognize feminine and masculine nouns in Russian? Those are two questions, ejeje sorry
@SpankyHam
@SpankyHam 3 жыл бұрын
литература, история, математика, физика, химия, биология - feminine gender of noun. Даже звучит похоже на женские имена - Анна, Жанна, Мария, Лидия.

позволяет или разрешает? Или обе?
@Silvia-df2hm
@Silvia-df2hm 3 жыл бұрын
Позволяет. Both can be translated as "allows", but in Russian there's a slight difference between these two words. Позволяет means more of "it lets me" - just like in the English subtitles. It is used when you want to say that something serves as a mean to achieve a certain goal. E.g. Я хорошо говорю по испански и это позволяет мне устроиться на работу в Испании. Разрешает, however, is used in regards of an actual permission to do something. E.g. Мы не получили разрешение построить дом. If I'm wrong, anyone can feel free to correct me. I'm not a native Russian speaker, but I dare to say that I speak it quite fluently.

Я позволяю дочери гулять до 10 часов вечера = Я разрешаю дочери гулять до 10 часов вечера. Тут значения практически одинаковые. Но есть контекст когда значение у позволять/позволить другое. Например - Интернет позволяет нам узнавать новости с огромной скоростью. На разрешает тут позволяет заменить нельзя.

Guys why are you learning russian? I speak via phon calls with russian girl and she is suprised that i am learning it, she says that in Russia there isnt good paid jobs, that its boring and sad country. But I just like learning it, how it sounds and also russian culture is interesting. And now i am interested why other people learn it, especially Americans or western Europeans (I am from Poland and there are also some similarities between our languages) Короче: зачем?

I said the same about my country "Russia" when i was living there that it's boring and doesn't have good paid jobs. So i made my way to chile 🇨🇱.. now i want to go back to russia😂 like i litterally miss it comparing to chile i like Russia more just because it's really clean well at least in tje city where i lived it was like super clean always plus in chile they're not used to foreigners alot so when they see a white person they rush to scam him when you want to buy something they make you pay triple the price 😤🙄 plus i got robbed 2 phones 😢📱 so i just realized it's not for me, i hate living in fear or surrounded by negative vibes around me. I'm a peace person and ground to earth i like to see the good in people first so when i sense a bad vibes i be fast to react like oh heeelll naww and move far from the place 😅. Anyways have a good day y'all☺️🤟🏻😘
