Specialized Crosstrail Gravel Conversion. Part 4. Almost done.

Күн бұрынAlmost done. Brake hoses need to be longer in order to fit in the Surly corner bars! Need new stem to raise bars for comfort. Rides nice with the flat bars. Components came from a Trek hardtail mtb.

I have 40T n/w chainring and a microShift Advent X derailleur and trigger shifter with an 11-48 cassette - also microShift. You will need a 116 link chain.

@@JohnPilling25 Thanks a lot for the reply! Are you able to give spesifics on the 40t chainring? Local bike shop is not able to provide one, so I have to shop from the web

I've got a crosstrail I want to convert...my rear spacing is a 135 mm is yours the same as I want new wheels

Yes it is the standard mtn bike spacing 135mm. I built myself a new front wheel using a sram hub and a wtb 622x23 rim so they matched the rear wheel.

38C but the forks will take at least 40c possibly 45. There is lots of room front and back.

John Pilling thanks..yeah i have a 45c now on mine and there’s more room im thinking of getting like a 2.0 wide if i can but i dont know if the rims can hold it.:-)
