To change from KPH to MPH, hold the up and down buttons until it takes you to a password screen. Put in "2020". Then navigate to "P02", which toggles unit of mileage. 0 is KPH, 1 is MPH. Also, P08 adjusts top speed as well. I set it to 100 and I've gotten it to at least to 30 MPH, but I haven't tried to push it further yet.

I just tried it out with 50% charge ! down hill I got it to 34 mph ! going to charge to 100% tonight and try again tomorrow and see if a I can get a higher top speed with more battery power . let me know where you found the info . I want to see if I can hack into any more power of speed or upgrades ... thanks again !

I don't ride off curbs or hit deep ruts to often off road . but when I do it bottoms out often . but 1 am almost 250 lbs

Can you show us the maximum speed that everyone is waiting for. We like to see if it really produce maximum speed of 40mph, as Freego company advertise in Amazon sale. After all it is a speed test. Thanx.

I USED AN APP ON MY PHONE AND ONLY GOT MINE TO 31-32 MPH DOWN HILL . I THINK ITS IS FAST ENOUPH BUT IF YOU COULD HACK THE CONTROLLER OR UPGRADE IT I THINK THE MOTOR HAS A LOT MORE TO GIVE !

@@ROGERWALDMAN you don't need to hack the controller, in your controller set your tire size to 12in from the stock 20ins then set your speed display to kph, kph will read very close to what mph will read and what you're doing is effectively making the total output of the motor/battery your speed limiter. The reason you set it to 12 is 20(tire size)/1.61=12 and 1.61 is about the same ratio as kph to mph so 20kph is 12mph

@@halo3pownage I did the same with my Sondors Mad Mods. Setting from 24 to 16 inch wheel got me from 28 to 34 mph. I use my phone GPS speedometer app on the handlebar mount.

4:14 Mark. OK...I've gotten this far and I need to ask...how much of this is peddling with the motor assisting and how much is just straight throttle? I also have the DK200 but I can't get it to move on just the throttle. The motor only kicks in if I'm peddling too. If I stop peddling, the motor stops operating. I went in to the Protocol Menus and switched it to 100 to "unrestricted" the speed but I still can't get it to operate on just the throttle. Have you figured that out?

I always put it on pedal assist 5 . you may have something not connected properly. follow throttle cable or wiring and make sure it is fully connected. and go through menu settings . you may have a defective unit . but it may be something simple . if you can't find the problem I would take it too an bike shop, someone that works on bikes on the regular might be able to find the problem quickly if its fixable ,,,

It's in the settings ,one of the P#1-20 settings makes it so the throttle and pedal assist works, pedal only or throttle only after pedal. Search up the p settings to find out what all of them mean, this happened to me the first day of my first bike aswell

This would be a great setup to add another battery pack and controller and front hub 1200watt you'd have a clean 2000+Watts of power I'd say 50 mph + ???😂 I'll let you know I'm gonna buy one they on sale at Walmart $1199 now...
