I had the demo disk for this game. Got it from a cereal box. It ended after the fight with Rhino. And yet I still played it allot.

18:36 The reason because Spiderman doesn't "develop" as a character is because this is an adult spiderman (meaning that he has had a lot of battles and experienced a lot of moments through out his life).

If Spider-Man PS4 made me feel like I was playing as spider-man, Spider-Man(2000) made me feel like I was playing a comic book, which is great because I love comics :).

I know I'm very late, but this analysis was great. I haven't played the game so I don't know how accurate the video is, but it does feel very thorough. I've literally only discovered your channel yesterday, yet I've watched dozens of videos and they are amazing

I noticed the glitch at 10:45 when I was playing it as a kid and learned that if you land wrong onto the building, you can actually make the glitch last a lot longer

My PS1 copy never had that chase glitch.

Interesting update on that, actually. Turns out that the glitch only appears when I try playing the disc on a PS2 but when playing on a PS1 or PS3, it never happens

Interesting for sure. My version plays through just fine on my PS2. Probably a glitch in each different individual disc. Either way great review!

10:45 you're not the only one who's encountered this problem Everytime I go back to replay this game I always run into this glitch 😑 luckily neversoft was able to remove the glitch in N64 port of this game 😄😁

I actually discovered recently that I only seem to run into that issue when playing the game on a PlayStation 2 system as when I tried using the same disc in a PS1 and PS3, this glitch never came up

I NEVER had the wall climbing glitch when I played it as a kid. Unfortunately I'm a fool... I traded in a lot of the games my mom got for me over the years. When I eventually bought the game again, I had the wall climbing glitch.

I have the PS1 version of this game, but I myself as a kid never got past the Scorpion fight at the Daily Bugle. If I had, this game would've been my first exposure to Daredevil (and eventually Punisher, Carnage & Captain America)

That venom chase glitch I think is in all copies. It's in the n64 version that I played as well

It's possible that one of those carnage symbiote clones bonded with Cassidy at the last minute, and the carnage symbiote is also bonded to Cassidy by blood so it's possible that he escaped

10 : 55 that's a glitch even on the n64 version nearly made rage quit the game as you can lose venom right away

for the first 3D spider-man game .. this one did such a perfect job .. i liked spider-man enter electro too tho people said it's bad :(

The story was just less bombastic. More of the friendly neighborhood side of Spider-Man. It would've been better if Enter Electro came out first then Spider-Man came after. That said, I really enjoy swinging and fighting in Enter Electro's city levels. Especially with the ability to swing up to 4 times. It's oddly fun and satisfying trying to make him look cool.

I discovered him when I was a bit more than half way through the marathon. I was a little uneasy when I saw that some of the joke I made (especially in the Ultimate Spider-Man review) sounds more similar to some of the joke he's made than I would like

The game has tons of fun little Easter eggs like that, it can be really fun to analyze the billboards and stuff throughout the city and see the little references

wow noob alert, the combat is incredible for its time?? there were many secret moves, you could climb on a guys head and there were lots of animations, it's not just punch kick and shoot web like you're implying

Yeah this was pretty early on in my KZfaq career, so finding a way to convey the intricacies in a combat system wasn't something I had much practice with, especially when I've never been a terribly talented gamer to begin with. Though I will say there's something to be said when a combat system has hidden depth that isn't clearly conveyed to your average player, which is worth considering since not every person playing the game will have the skill, time or patience to obsess over the mechanics they eventually master and lord over others
