Dragon Man also appeared in the 2005 Fantastic Four movie game... Also, Dragon Man is always an Android, and was brought to life by the use of alchemy thanks to Diablo, a old Fantastic Four villain, that also appeared in the 2005 game.

I love old Marvel games, back when HYDRA or Ultron or aliens invaded and instead of calling all the warriors, the only heroes around to save the day were Spider-Man and maybe Wolverine.

They chose the Eel, a villain whose only interaction with Spider-Man was in a story that retroactively added him to Spidey's early adventures.

i first read about Web of Fire on an EGM from the early 2000s that was covering the Spider-man movie game, it wasn't a review it was just a short mention of the game, i didn't even know what a 32x was, but that subtitle "Web of Fire", my imagination would run wild thinking what a game with a subtitle like that was like. Too bad it turned out to not be good at all

I got this game as a kid along with the 32X because my mom found it on clearance at a Toysrus back in the day. I never cared for it and hung on to it until a few years ago where I sold it for like $300+.

i had this game back in the day and very vaguely recall it being a decent time, but it was one of those games where the controls were hampered by the amount of animations you had, it made the game look great to me but fucked your ass when it came to precision Ps: i love Vector Man and wish something would be done with those games or maybe a spiritual successor of some sort could be made, they are still some of my favorite action platformers of all time!

Breaks my heart that out of all the games from the era of 2D Marvel brawlers, this mess is the only one Daredevil shows up in.

To answer your question about blue sky. No they are not around anymore. Titus interactive brought them sometime in the late 90s and after they completed work on the superman game for the playstation (which was completely different from the N64 game and basically complete and even got passed by Sony's quality control department but Titus lost the rights before shipping it) they were closed down in 01 due to Titus money problems that year

Ah, Blue Sky's last game, and they truly went out with not a bang, but a whimper. I think I know why the game crashed now. I saw the Kega Fusion dialog at one point in the video; that emulator is sadly quite past its prime, especially for 32X stuff, even if more modern options are still quite a work in progress. (From my experience, after frustration with SEVERAL ROM crashes using ol' Kega, I used a newer one called PicoDrive to play through Knuckles' Chaotix for a more stable and accurate experience, yet at the cost of a couple graphical bugs.) Good thing you won't be back to this system for the Mediocre Spider-Matt series, though.

My favorite Spider-man games that a lot of people don’t know about are the Griptonite-developed DS versions of Web of Shadows and Shattered Dimensions. They turn them into metroidvanias with fighting game-ish combat based on juggles and air combos, very similar to Guacamelee but first. And definitely the best version of 2D web swinging and zipping I’ve played. You can tell Web of Shadows was incredibly rushed because there’s awful enemy variety and a plot that feels like they changed what the cutscenes say happen after already making the game. But the combat and web swinging are at their best in that one and it makes it a really funspeedrun game imo. Web of Shadows also features the return of rescuing friendly characters and unlocking assist summons from them lol
